Hi, I’m Charlie! I’ve lived in Portland for about 3 years now, but I am originally from Massachusetts. I am currently a senior psychology student at Reed College and I am planning to go to medical school post-grad. I have worked with kids of many ages, either through volunteering with schools (tutoring), or looking after family members and children of close family friends. I plan to work with kids in behavioral analyst positions, too, once I finish my undergrad degree. I am also taking some art courses and American Sign Language this summer; I love crafting, making art, and learning new things. In my free time I play music and sing. I unfortunately do not have a car or a driver’s license, but do plan on getting my license sometime this summer. I would call myself a very responsible, innovative, and caring person. I am also very attentive to detail, as as well as being CPR certified! Looking forward to working with you and your little ones to make sure you know they are taken care of when you are not able to be home (or just want to take a night off!) I have housekeeping experience, cooking experience (I worked for a private chef in the hamptons for a little while), cleaning experience, pet care experience, and senior care experience. Please let me know if any of these services would be additionally helpful to you!!
Hi! My name is Kati ‘kaa-tee’, I am a current graduate student at PSU in their counseling program for marriage, family, and couples therapy. I am in training to become a play therapist. In the past, I have worked as an advocate at a local DV agency, mentorship support coach for youth and their mentors, and in a healthcare setting. I’m open to meeting beforehand to see if we’d be a good fit! I love to knit, craft, play with cats, volunteer, and go outside! - Adult and Pediatric (Child and Baby) First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. - Youth Mental Health Aid Certified - Trauma Informed - Bilingual/Bicultural: Spanish & English
Hi! My name is Maya! I love playing and learning alongside children and am highly patient and compassionate. I currently work as a part-time preschool teacher with kids 2-5 years old. I work with an awesome staff supervising 15 children where I help prepare lunches and snacks, assist in toileting when necessary, and engage in creative indoor/outdoor play. I have experience working with kids on the spectrum and other neurodivergence. I'm registered in the Oregon Central Background Registry and am pediatric CPR + first aid certified. I also occasionally babysit my neighbor's child, a 7-year old. We like to play outside, read, harvest fruits from the neighborhood, talk, and build. I love to be with kids outside and in garden spaces and have led volunteers at the children's garden at Wapato Island Farm. I grew up with five siblings and I believe it has made me a good listener and a compassionate mediator. In high school I regularly volunteered at my old Kindergarten-8th grade school. In college I worked at my school's daycare looking after kids mainly 6 months to 5 years in age. I drive up to WA every month to help my sister with her now 3 years old and I feel so lucky to be present for his different developmental stages. I love working with kids because they are learning about themselves and the world for the first time and I think that is very special. They are also great conversationalists. I value listening, kindness, empathy, and being silly. In my free time I study plant medicine, guitar, and Bahasa Indonesia.
Hello there! :) My name is Daria, I am currently a senior at GFU nursing program. I am offering childcare and household services. I have experience working with children of various ages in summer camps and being a nanny since I was 17 years old. I enjoy playing with children, doing crafts, getting outside and tutoring! I can also help around the house, cook and drive to places, if needed! Looking forward to work with you!
Welcome — my name is Michael! I’m an educator, parent, and lifelong caregiver with over 25 years of experience working with children, seniors, plants, and cats. I hold a master’s degree in Public Administration and completed all coursework for a master’s in the Art of Teaching. Over the years, I’ve raised five children and numerous godchildren, coached youth sports, and led art, tutoring, and community programs that center creativity and care. I love the outdoors, plants, cooking, music, and meditation — and I bring that same balance and joy into the homes I support. Families describe me as calm, reliable, and nurturing, with a structured yet easygoing approach that helps everyone feel at ease. I’m happy to cook and do light cleaning, but I’m not a housekeeper — no deep cleaning. I’m great with cats and plants, and I’m still working on overcoming my fear of dogs. I look forward to connecting with families who value kindness, growth, and good energy in their home.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
