I have experience in several child care areas, including a licensed day care, Sunday school, babysitting, summer camps, tutoring and nannying. I've worked with all different age groups, from infants to teenagers. I am now 25 and have 12 years of various experience! I have experience with full-time infant-care (transitioning to solid foods, preparing formula, etc), as well as balancing the routines of multiple children at once. I have been the "first babysitter" for kids with a range of ages, including baby, toddler, and early elementary. After graduating college I spent a year in France teaching English to French high schoolers. Before doing that I was a reading tutor and baby sat for many wonderful families, including families with autistic and ADHD sons. I have also worked as a skills coach for developmentally disabled adults and feel comfortable working with kids of different ability levels. My motto as a caregiver is patients, compassion, and most importantly having fun will make everyone's experience great. I'm a lifelong Portlander, and am hoping to enter the outdoor education field after college. I've been babysitting for 10 years now, caring for children ages 3 months to 12 years. I am a retired married mother of 27 year old twins. I love crafting and spending quality time with children. I have been a Volunteer with the SMART reading program and have worked for Portland Public Schools. I camp a lot in the Spring through Fall for long weekends with my husband, dog, and vintage trailer.
