Hi! My name is Maddie, and I offer child care, pet care, senior care, and household support. I’m currently looking for occasional, one-off, or part-time work to supplement my income and support families who need a reliable extra set of hands. I grew up booked and busy as a babysitter and nanny, and caring for others has always come naturally to me. My experience includes driving to/from activities, organizing arts & crafts/fun learning experiences, tutoring/homework help, cooking meals, and keeping children engaged, safe, and happy. For 6 years I worked as a swim coach, coaching children ages 5 - 18 and introducing infants and toddlers (ages 1 - 4) to the pool. These experiences helped me develop strong skills in supervision, patience, communication, and adapting to different ages and personalities. Professionally, I’ve spent the last 10 years as an Executive Assistant to CEOs, where I honed my organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. I’m proactive, calm under pressure, and intuitive about anticipating needs - skills that translate into caregiving and household support. I’m also an animal lover through and through. I grew up with dogs, lived with a cat after college, and have no allergies. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, administering basic care, and giving pets lots of attention. Lastly, I was a caretaker for my grandmother for a short time - assisting with basic senior care including cooking, transportation to appointments, and companionship (I’m a great cribbage partner!). I’m dependable, respectful, and genuinely enjoy helping and supporting others. I was raised in a household where everyone pitched in, so I’m very comfortable with cooking, cleaning, errands, and general household help. I am the proud mother of two young adult children who are now making their way in the world, and I am still their biggest cheerleader. As a former federal employee, I bring reliability, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility. Gardening is one of my mini passions, and I currently do part-time gardening work. I also have many years of experience, caring for children and babies. I am a (current) mental health therapist and experienced nanny looking for time-limited gigs (like vacations) or evening & weekend opportunities, including nannying/babysitting, house sitting, household management, travel nannying, pet sitting or other related tasks. I was a long-term nanny for families in the Seattle area from 2[removed] and 2018-2022. I also have experience with household management and organization/systems implementation to help households run smoothly, as well as ample experience with pet sitting. I have a 10 year old doodle myself who is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet! I have also nannied for 3 kids for a week while their parents went on vacation, and we had a blast! I am a mental health therapist by day, with afternoons/evenings and weekends available. To be transparent, my long-distance partner and I are looking to relocate in the next year, and we want to save some extra funds to ease the move & extend time off together. I could add more therapy clients, however, I quite enjoy nannying (and other related jobs) and it would be a lovely change of pace. If you’re looking for a long-term person, I won’t be the best fit. But if you need someone to watch your pets on vacation, household organizing, weekend babysitting or vacation coverage, I am great at what I do and will provide a fun, safe, and interactive experience for anyone in my care.

I have always enjoyed working with children. After finishing my degree in Psychology in 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil to work with the United Nations on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) for 2 months, where I taught Spanish and organized educational activities for children. My experience in childcare has been truly vocational and inspiring for me. I cared for a boy for six months, from 1. 5 years old until he turned 2. Then, I took care of a second child from 9 months until he was 2. 5 years old. Currently, I am taking care of a little girl since she was 4 months and she is now 2 years old! I enjoy helping children with their emotional growth and daily routines, while fostering a safe environment where they can explore and play.
