I just graduated from school with my Doctorate in Occupational therapy and am looking for extra babysitting to help with paying off my student loans. I work in early childhood mental health and school-based OT. I got my undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, with a major in Theater, emphasis in set construction. I also have a minor in Early Childhood Development. Before COVID I worked at Cal Shakespeare in Berkeley/Orinda. I have been working with children for the past 18 years as a date night sitter, a nanny, a childcare worker, and a preschool teacher. I have experience with all ages. I am CPR certified, and I recently just refreshed my certification. I love working with all types of children. I love to play games (inside and outside), watch movies, build forts, and I especially love arts and crafts with the kiddos.

I've been babysitting children since I was 14, when I started watching over family friends' children. When I was 15 I started working at Strawberry Canyon Explorer Camp where I worked for 8 years teaching children ages 4-10. At camp I worked with kids one on one as well as in large groups. I've also spent years volunteering in local elementary schools. I love teaching and hope to be an elementary school teacher in a few years. I've primarily worked with kids ages 4-7 but have experience with older as well. I love bringing them outside and teaching them sports, as well as helping them with that tough math problem. Hello, my name is Ky’Aira and I think I am a great fit for your family! I am 28 and went to Northridge State and moved to Sacramento to get more teaching experience. While I was a teacher there, I taught infants up to 5 year olds. Many families that I bonded with became family and would contact me for watching their child. I became apart of these families and would come to birthdays or just come over on weekends to hang. I thing it’s important to stimulate their minds and bodies. I enjoy creating art and sensory activities for younger children and also anything in a kitchen! Going outside and playing is something that will never be missed because I enjoy outside play and exploring the world around us! I do have teaching background so their will be something to learn throughout basic activities during the day. Putting children to sleep I’ve been told I’m a pro since I am very observant of the body language and needs that child may need to help them sleep. I am more of an academic nanny in the sense of everything we do has a learning component and enjoying independent play to explore their imagination and creativity. I also am very organized and cleaning meaning if you need me to help with anything extra I probably already have done it or would love to help! I have worked with multiple families as a full time nanny and am most knowledgeable with infants up until 3. If you hire me, whether it’s full time or sometimes your child will have an amazing time and you’ll receive pictures and videos during that time so you can see what your loved one is doing.
