Hello! My name is Jade. I am 25 years old and currently completing my bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley, with plans to pursue a PhD. While I’m new to the UrbanSitter platform, I bring extensive experience working with children across various age groups and needs, including roles as a: - Group Counselor at Roughing It Day Camp in Lafayette - Preschool Teacher at Mission Montessori in San Francisco - Certified ABA Therapist for a neurodivergent young adult Certifications & Logistics: - CPR/AED Certified (Infants & Children) - Advanced Infant & Childcare Training Certified - Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record My Babysitting Style: While I am comfortable with movies or occasional screen time, I am very intentional when it comes to tech use and am a big proponent of tech-free play and outdoor play. I love arts and crafts and using the imagination to explore! :) Whether you need a last minute babysitter or to plan something in advance, I would be happy to help and promise that your little one will be well taken care of!

Hi there, I am a Bay Area native with over 10 years of experience in child care. I have a background in Creative Arts and Hospitality. I am bi-lingual (Japanese/English). I have been a proud nanny to many children here in the Bay Area, and it still is such a privilege to watch these kids grow and make their way in the world. I started babysitting the neighbors kids when I was young and eventually started teaching English in Japan after high school. I’ve helped raise my 16 year old brother since birth and feel comfortable with all ages. I am willing to do house-work, meal preparation and planning, animal care and house sitting. I have experience with Grade/Montessori school activities and hope to provide an environment where the kids feel comfortable to be themselves, learn, create, and have fun! In my free time, I am learning about business administration and working on starting my first Japanese comfort food business! I look forward to meeting you and the family!

I just graduated from school with my Doctorate in Occupational therapy and am looking for extra babysitting to help with paying off my student loans. I work in early childhood mental health and school-based OT. I got my undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, with a major in Theater, emphasis in set construction. I also have a minor in Early Childhood Development. Before COVID I worked at Cal Shakespeare in Berkeley/Orinda. I have been working with children for the past 18 years as a date night sitter, a nanny, a childcare worker, and a preschool teacher. I have experience with all ages. I am CPR certified, and I recently just refreshed my certification. I love working with all types of children. I love to play games (inside and outside), watch movies, build forts, and I especially love arts and crafts with the kiddos.

Hi, I'm Ananda. I have a lot of experience caring for and teaching children. I have 18 ECE units and experience in preschool, elementary school, summer camp, and art workshops. I really love working with young children. I'm patient, compassionate, and a very good listener. I love reading, doing art, playing at the park, doing puzzles, singing songs, and anything else that is fun for kids. I am currently an After School Art teacher at the elementary level. I am First Aid/ CPR certified and will mainly be looking for work during the school summer break this year and will be open to ongoing occasional work during the school year. I love spending time outdoors and the idea of taking a walk with a kid and a dog sounds like a perfect summer afternoon. I love animals and have some experience walking dogs. I have more experience with cats although I'm mildly allergic to them. Additionally, I have cared for an elderly person helping with errands, rides, and support after surgery or injury. I am very open to helping a senior person. I love art, music, nature, and good conversation. I am also a person with strong reuse, recycle and diy interests. I love to repair things, like jewelry and clothes, and even stuffies! I love to participate in our local fix it fests and repair cafes. I have been teaching kids to sew and do crafts for over 3 years now. I have experience running creative workshops, which have included making earrings, bracelets, tissue paper flowers, skewer sculptures, slime, play dough, hula hoops, and sugar skulls w/ royal icing for Day of the Dead. I also have experience teaching people to make sauerkraut and preserved lemons. Overall, being thorough with details and having clear communication is very important to me. I look forward to meeting possible families who like the sound of what I have to offer. Be well, and have a great day.

Ananda was so great with my 6yr old son! It’s clear that she loves children and will definitely book again.
