Find an emergency babysitter in Mountain View, CA

Hello! I'm a professional and am looking to use my extra time helping out families. I've led summer camps for elementary school kids. I'm great with children and have six nieces and nephews who I adore. I used urban sitter when I lived in nyc. I am a fan of non-screen time play. We read all of their favorite books, played pretend, built structures, scooter and skate. I’ve relocated to Santa Clara and am rebooting my services in urban sitter. I am currently working in a TK classroom at an elementary school in Santa Clara. I also go to school full time. I would like to pick up some occasional babysitting hours in the evenings and on weekends. I have always enjoyed working with children and their families. I have past experience with all ages, infant through school age. My job titles included babysitter, teacher' s aide, teacher and center director. I began babysitting for family friends in high school and later moved on to child care center based positions. I did take a break to be at home with my daughter and was able to take some ECE classes as well. I have experience as the primary caregiver at a nursery center for ages 6 months to 2 years. I was also the director of a Child Development Center as well as a before and after school teacher. I have also cared for young children in my home which included overnight accommodations as needed by the families. I really enjoy a play based atmosphere.

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Biology, B.S. but I was a transfer student from Foothill College in Los Altos, CA. Growing up, i played basketball, volleyball and swimming. I swam collegiately for 2 years. I have been babysitting for over 13 years and have had a wide range of experience. I have babysat children from the ages of 3 months until 12 years old and have taken on a variety of different tasks with families. I have helped with homework, bed time routines, mommy’s helper (including dishes, organizing, floor cleaning, etc), and so much more. I currently work full time at Stanford University for the Department of Emergency Medicine as a Project Manager for both Strategy and DEI. I have been working with children for about 25 years. I have experience working with multiple children at a time and children different ages, including infants. Working with children has always been my passion. I am very energetic and love taking kids for walks, to the park, library, enjoy doing art projects, read books and just love watching kids grow and watch them learn new things.
