Hello! My name is Jade. I am 25 years old and currently completing my bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley, with plans to pursue a PhD. While I’m new to the UrbanSitter platform, I bring extensive experience working with children across various age groups and needs, including roles as a: - Group Counselor at Roughing It Day Camp in Lafayette - Preschool Teacher at Mission Montessori in San Francisco - Certified ABA Therapist for a neurodivergent young adult Certifications & Logistics: - CPR/AED Certified (Infants & Children) - Advanced Infant & Childcare Training Certified - Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record My Babysitting Style: While I am comfortable with movies or occasional screen time, I am very intentional when it comes to tech use and am a big proponent of tech-free play and outdoor play. I love arts and crafts and using the imagination to explore! :) Whether you need a last minute babysitter or to plan something in advance, I would be happy to help and promise that your little one will be well taken care of!

Hi! I'm Anja (An-ya)! I’m a Bay Area native and a mom! I have a daughter who is 3. I have availability on Thursday with some Fridays. Let me know if you want my daughter to come along! I've been working as a babysitter and nanny since high school, when I regularly babysat for neighborhood families with toddler age children. In college I worked for a service (fittingly) called College Nannies and Tutors, which provided on-call care for a variety of families across the Bay Area. I was booked with families whose daycare providers were on vacation, children who were too sick to go to school, and for kids whose parents worked from home - or who just needed a day to themselves! As you can imagine, I got to know a diverse group of children and parents and was able to work closely with them to meet their own special set of needs. I love fostering children's imagination and independence, and getting to know their unique personalities. Whether it's dinosaurs, dump trucks, Elsa, or Lightning McQueen, if they're interested, I'm interested!

Anya was great with our 9 month old! Super communicative and attentive. We would hire her again, definitely!

Hi! My name is Dominique, but I go by Doma. I've been around babies and children my whole life. I grew up with my mom running her own home day care and started babysitting at 15 years old for family friends. I'm the second oldest of six children with my two youngest siblings being 9 and 11 years old, so I’m comfortable with watching multiples, doing housework and managing the occasional (or day to day) chaos. I am flexible, empathetic, and overall just really value genuine connection with those I share space with. I’ve found it important for me to be able to really partner with parents and openly communicate about how I can best care for their child and how we can support each other in the process. I look forward to hopefully doing that with you!

Hi, I'm Ananda. I have a lot of experience caring for and teaching children. I have 18 ECE units and experience in preschool, elementary school, summer camp, and art workshops. I really love working with young children. I'm patient, compassionate, and a very good listener. I love reading, doing art, playing at the park, doing puzzles, singing songs, and anything else that is fun for kids. I am currently an After School Art teacher at the elementary level. I am First Aid/ CPR certified and will mainly be looking for work during the school summer break this year and will be open to ongoing occasional work during the school year. I love spending time outdoors and the idea of taking a walk with a kid and a dog sounds like a perfect summer afternoon. I love animals and have some experience walking dogs. I have more experience with cats although I'm mildly allergic to them. Additionally, I have cared for an elderly person helping with errands, rides, and support after surgery or injury. I am very open to helping a senior person. I love art, music, nature, and good conversation. I am also a person with strong reuse, recycle and diy interests. I love to repair things, like jewelry and clothes, and even stuffies! I love to participate in our local fix it fests and repair cafes. I have been teaching kids to sew and do crafts for over 3 years now. I have experience running creative workshops, which have included making earrings, bracelets, tissue paper flowers, skewer sculptures, slime, play dough, hula hoops, and sugar skulls w/ royal icing for Day of the Dead. I also have experience teaching people to make sauerkraut and preserved lemons. Overall, being thorough with details and having clear communication is very important to me. I look forward to meeting possible families who like the sound of what I have to offer. Be well, and have a great day.

Ananda was so great with my 6yr old son! It’s clear that she loves children and will definitely book again.
