Hello UrbanSitter families (: My name is Ana (: I currently work as a substitute teacher for preschool, elementary, middle school and some special education/inclusion classrooms. I have previously worked with infants and toddlers (0-3) as an early interventionist/child development specialist. So I have lots of experience with children of all ages & developmental levels (: I’ve also worked in summer programs, volunteered in children’s hospitals & have been babysitting/nannying professionally for 10+ years. I have done everything from long term, date nights, classroom pods, play dates, school or practice pickups, overnights & weekends. Special skills include arts & crafts, sports, games, hiking, homework help, dancing & singing (warning: not that great at the singing part) LOVE dogs, open to cats & other pets. As for availability, Being a substitute I don’t always know my exact location or end time. For the most part it’s M-F, end times vary from 2:45pm to 4pm. Child care: Hello! My name is Serenity and I have been working in childcare since I was 14. I am one of 48 cousins so for as long as I can remember, I have always been taking care of someone younger than myself. I have worked as a full time nanny to a family with an infant under 8 months. This included being home alone for 8+ hours and in charge of all care. I followed a strict sleep schedule and routine. Prepared bottles and purées. Reference available for contact. As well as done over night shifts to help with sleep training and regression. I have been called the “baby whisperer” by more than one. I believe with patients, a calm energy, and a strong routine, all infants can be sleep trained easily. I am also a high school and travel ball softball coach so my training in CPR/First Aide/Basic medical care is very extensive as it’s required for those positions. Elderly care: I grew up living with my grandmother who had COPD. I was one of her main caregivers for the better half of 5 years. I helped schedule and monitor doctor’s visits. Kept her on a very strict schedule that followed her doctor’s instructions, administered medication, picked up medications, drove her anywhere her heart desired, and spent so many hours watching the cooking network. But always found every second so much fun. I worked as a patient services supervisor for a very reputable physical therapy company so I understand the details of American health insurance better than most. I also learned many fall prevention, basic mobility training, and mobility support throughout my years there. I have always been someone who loves to spend my time with the generations from before me. Before she passed, my great grandma, who lived in Apple Valley, and I would talk on the phone almost daily, spend hours writing letters back and forth because she felt it was a lost art, went on road trips with over 16 hour long drives. Just chatting and enjoying. I love old movies, TV shows, music and am happy to help with any needs to help the person in your life in any way I can. While also hopefully alleviating any stress from you any way I can.
