My name is Nina, and I am from Sacramento, CA. I am an alumni Psychology major from Menlo College. While attending Menlo College, I also played on the collegiate women's soccer team. I love outdoors and athletics. I currently work as a recruiting coordinator at Menlo College, but before that I worked at SJND High School as an Academic Success Coach. Working at SJND has helped me learn so many new things contributing to my career as a caregiver. I have a true passion for working with children and I am so excited about the opportunity to meet new families and create a relationship with kids. I hope to hear from you :)

Nina was amazing. Can’t wait yo have her back!

I have been working with children for almost fourteen years, and was a Preschool Teacher for over five years. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development from SF State University. Prior to the covid-19 shutdown I worked as a teacher at Rockridge Little School in Piedmont for two years, where I worked with all ages groups (2-5 years) I also worked as a teacher at Claremont Day Nurseries Preschool in Kensington. I was a two year old teacher for one year, and then became a floater teacher for all the age groups (ages 2-5). Prior to this I started up an after-care organization with my mother in 2009 until 2012, where we took care of over nine children after-school per day, ages 6-10. On my work days I would spend the day playing with the kids, doing arts and crafts, providing homework help and overall enjoying the company of the children until the parents would come back from work. I love to do drawing/arts and crafts projects with the kids I take care of if possible, and really enjoy the creativity it brings out in each child. I have found my experiences with children to be both educational and heart-warming, and for those reasons have helped me develop as a person and I feel make me qualified to join the urban-sitter community.

Hello parents, I provide high-quality, attentive childcare with a calm, nurturing, and structured approach. I take pride in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children feel secure and well cared for. I have hands-on experience working with children and focus on maintaining routines, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting each child’s individual needs. I can assist with school routines, homework, enrichment activities, and bedtime, while ensuring a smooth and organized daily flow. In addition to childcare, I offer light household support, including meal prep, tidying, and organization, helping maintain a clean and stress-free home environment. I am comfortable with school pickups/drop-offs and driving, and prioritize safety, punctuality, and clear communication at all times. I’m known for being reliable, detail-oriented, and professional, while still warm and approachable with children. I adapt easily to different family dynamics and aim to build long-term trust with both parents and kids.

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I’m a former nanny with over 7 years of childcare experience caring for newborns, infants, toddlers. I worked as a nanny while attending college in the U.S. Professionally, my background is in marketing and advertising, but caring for children has always been one of my greatest passions in life. Currently, I’m looking for occasional babysitting opportunities to support local families. The majority of my experience has been with newborns and infants, supporting families through the important early stages of development. I have extensive experience establishing feeding routines, supporting healthy sleep habits, engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities, and creating nurturing environments where children feel safe, loved, and secure. Throughout my journey, I have worked with both long-term and short-term families and have experience caring for multiple children at the same time, including siblings with different developmental needs and schedules. I am comfortable balancing feedings, naps, activities, meal preparation, transportation, and daily routines while ensuring each child receives individualized attention. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have experience supporting families with sleep training, Baby-Led Weaning (BLW), potty training, and Montessori-inspired learning. I believe in fostering independence, confidence, and curiosity while maintaining a warm, patient, and loving approach. Outside of childcare, I am an outdoorsy person who loves nature and living an active lifestyle. I currently live on a sailboat in the Bay Area, which has strengthened my appreciation for adventure, exploration, and the natural world. I enjoy incorporating outdoor activities, walks, playground visits, and nature-based learning experiences into children’s daily routines whenever possible. I pride myself on being dependable, patient, communicative, and supportive. My goal is to become a trusted extension of the family while creating a warm environment where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to thrive. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! I hope we have the opportunity to meet and work together. I’d be honored to care for your little ones and become someone your family can rely on. I look forward to connecting with you!

Amanda is an absolute natural with children - she has a mother’s instinct and immediately inspired trust in just a few hours of watching her interact with my 5 month old. In the 3 weeks we worked with Amanda while our nanny was on vacation, she was highly reliable, a top notch communicator, and a pleasant positive person to have around our family. Within days she had my baby on a predictable routine that exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be working with Amanda again (and she would be our first choice for child care!)
