I’m a warm, fun, and organized caregiver with hands-on experience caring for young children. As a parent of a preschool-aged child, I’m very familiar with preschool routines, school pick-up and drop-off, meals and snacks, bath and bedtime routines, reading, crafts, imaginative play, outdoor activities, and helping children navigate transitions and big feelings with patience. I am also good at organizing safe, easy-to-use, and clean environments for families. In addition to caring for my own child, I’ve also looked after toddlers and young children for family members and friends on various occasions. I studied Art and Design and really enjoy creative activities with kids. I’ve also had exposure to early childhood education through helping my aunt, who runs a Montessori preschool. That experience helped me appreciate child-led learning, independence, creativity, and the importance of creating a supportive environment for young children. I’m also experienced and comfortable caring for pets, including dog-sitting and cat-sitting for family and friends. Currently, I mainly take occasional sitter jobs for weekday nights and weekends while I study for my MA and search for a full-time job. I have a car with a child seat so that I can help with drop-offs and pick-ups as well.

I am the oldest daughter of 4 children and have enjoyed the experience of having significantly younger siblings. Being around them has ensured my love of kids and babysitting from an early age. I’ve babysat since I was 16 years old and have enjoyed the energy and curiosity that kids always seem to have. Their excitement is absolutely contagious and makes it hard not to be happy when you’re around them. My favorite thing to do when babysitting is cook with the kids, do a fun creative project like making a magazine collage to show their parents, and reading all their favorite books. All before bedtime! I have a corporate job that occupies my 9am-5pm during the week, but have ample time in the evenings and weekends to explore the city and neighborhoods and see them through the curious mind of a child! I am a credentialed Special Education Teacher and private tutor with thirteen years of teaching experience. I have worked with kids with a range of needs, and specialize in students with learning disabilities, ADHD, ASD, and 2E children. I have also been a sitter and nanny for many more years. I have significant experience with kids from newborn infants through high school age. As a sitter, I’m incredibly attentive and engaging with kids. I love to read with them, play games, do arts and crafts, play outside, and cook/ bake. I’m a great cook, and am happy to do meal prep services in addition to childcare as well. Cancellation Policy: If bookings are cancelled by the parent within 12 hours of the start time of the booking, I charge a fee of 50% of the total booking to help offset the loss of wages on short notice.

I've been caring for children since I was 15 and have experience with all ages from newborns to 15 years old. I've worked with large families (up to five children at once), twins and multiples, and I also have experience as a night nanny.
