Hello, My name is Anne and I’m a long-time San Francisco resident living in Bernal Heights. I love working with young people of different ages and have a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate a wide range of needs. I’ve raised our own two kids and have worked with other people’s children on and off for over 25 years, as an educator and childcare provider. I’m nurturing, organized, and responsible. Being punctual and staying safe are my top priorities. I also love to have fun and go on outdoor adventures! I’m a positive and energetic person with a passion for languages, healthy food, and good stories. Informal training in theatre and expressive arts informs the creative work I do with children. While traveling and living overseas, I have lovingly gathered a mobile library of fun, interactive books in French and Spanish. When our children were young, I helped run a bilingual (Spanish/English) daycare program. I launched an arts program in our Spanish immersion elementary school, where I assisted in teaching art and literacy for over a decade. In tutoring older children for many years, I focused on English and French language skills, writing, and SAT prep. Other professional endeavors include working in the field of public health. I studied in the USA and in France. I am happy to help your family in any way you need. I have a safe car, excellent driving skills, and a clean driving record. I prefer not to do screen time with kids. I am AHA certified in infant/child/adult CPR and first aid. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19 and am up to date on this and other immunizations. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to set up an interview. I have many excellent references, which I'm happy to furnish upon request. I look forward to working with you and your families!!!

Anne is the absolute best. From the start, it immediately felt like we had a relative coming over to watch our 6 month old son for date night. Anne was punctual, asked all the right questions about bedtime routine, and her communication throughout the night allowed us to enjoy date night worry free! She is clearly a natural with kids. We look forward to having Anne watch our son again soon.

I grew up with 3 sisters and 2 brothers and we had dogs and cats. I played sports and first babysat at the age of 13. I love the beach and body surfing, I love to sing to the little ones and teach them songs, I like to have fun reading books, eating food, playing with just about anything (just a glass of ice water is entertainment for 30 minutes with a 15 month old-- yes, ice.. first it's solid and then magic-it disappears). I love to problem solve... or use the tool of distraction. And I do believe that "to every task that must be done there is an element of fun". I work part-time at the Ferry Building Book Passage and have been there for two and a half years, it's a great environment and I enjoy working with the public. There a lot of kids who come in on the weekends and I have fun getting to know them and what they like to read. I have been taking care of a year and a half boy for spurts this past year and it's been so much fun. We would go to the Main Library storytime for an outting and it was a real treasure. It is such a pleasure to work with kids, as they are so much in to the moment.

Thank you so much for your help! Would definitely recommend Lorraine, she was wonderful.

$38 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 30 families in San Francisco, CA

Hello! My name is Lu (short for Luisa—easier to remember, right?). I’m excited to offer occasional babysitting services on weekends, weeknights, and overnight stays. As an experienced ESL teacher with over three years in the classroom, I bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to my work with children. Beyond teaching, I’ve worked as both a live-in and live-out nanny for multiple families, caring for children of all ages. My experience includes managing the needs of larger families—such as four children in two households, three in another— and I’m currently the full-time nanny for two wonderful little ones: a five-year-old and a two year old toddler. I’m an active and creative person who loves spending time outdoors hiking, doing crafts, and engaging children in fun, hands-on activities. For older kids, I’m happy to provide craft or jewelry-making tutorials to help spark their creativity and encourage new skills. I’m known for being responsible, loving, honest, versatile, and open-minded—all qualities that I believe are essential for nurturing and guiding children. I grew up in a family that taught me the importance of respect, responsibility, and self-confidence, and I strive to instill these values in the children I care for. I firmly believe that home is a child’s first school, and I’ll do my best to create an environment where your children feel supported, inspired, and, of course, have a lot of fun! Thank you for considering me to care for your little ones. I’d love the opportunity to support your family and bring my experience and enthusiasm to your household. Warm regards, Lu

Lu was warm and easy to communicate with, on time and professional, did a great job. Would hire again!

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 8 families in San Francisco, CA

I'm a caring and creative caregiver with hands-on experience as a preschool teacher, where I worked with children ages 2-5 for a full school year. In the classroom, I have worked with children with neurodivergent, including ADHD and autism. I have over 6 months of babysitting/nannying experience working with 8-month-olds to 6-year-olds. In addition, I am an eldest daughter who has basically raised my younger sisters, who are now in their late teens, so I technically have years of experience with up to 17-year-olds. I have an associate's degree in Child and Adolescent Development, giving me a strong understanding of developmental stages and age-appropriate care. I am also First-Aid & CPR-certified and fully vaccinated. My top strengths include planning engaging activities, encouraging imaginative play, and supporting children's growth in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. I love helping kids learn, explore, and feel confident being themselves!

Heart was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and I was able to quickly book her on a last minute basis. Heart was gentle with my one year old and I could tell she had experience with little ones because she asked all the right questions and was in tune with my baby while following my instructions. Heart entertained my little one and was very respectful. I felt at ease knowing my baby was taken care of so I could work in peace.

Hi! My name is Bella, and I’m a 23-year-old college student with years of experience caring for both children and animals. I work as a veterinary assistant, and also worked at a Boys and Girls club. I truly love helping and caring for others—whether that means keeping kids safe and engaged or making sure pets get the attention and exercise they need. I’m reliable, responsible, and patient, and I take pride in creating a safe and positive environment. I’m available most evenings and early mornings, which is perfect for morning dog walks or helping get children ready for the day. My hourly rate is flexible depending on ages and specific needs. While I don’t have a car, I’m dependable with scheduling and committed to showing up on time. I’d love the opportunity to help care for your family or pets — feel free to reach out with any questions!

Isabella was amazing with our 15 month old who has major stranger danger! Isabella was able to win over our daughter immediately and our daughter had a great time with her! Isabella is great!
