I have over 14 years of childcare experience from teaching, nannying, and date night sitting. I’ve worked with all ages, infant through preteen and have a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. I’m well versed in child development and personally like a Montessori style approach but happy to tailor my care to parents preferences. During my undergrad, I researched the benefits of yoga for children with Autism and ADHD. I’d be happy to share my research, if interested. When working with families, I appreciate a team player and growth mindset. When a child makes a mistake, we learn, we grow and we move past it. I like to lead with empathy, compassion, and curiosity. Families I’ve worked with describe me as nurturing, responsible and fun. Keeping your child safe is my top priority and I will care for your child as if they were my own. When caring for your child/children, I like to let the child lead the adventure. Activities I’ve done with past families are arts and crafts, playing ball with friends, storytime at the library, music class, teddy bear birthdays, and play dates at the park. In addition to caring for your child, I like to keep play area tidy, assist with laundry, and love to make kid friendly meals. A fan favorite is Brocoli Quesadilla. Outside of nannying, I am an artist and reseller. I love to thrift, paint, create pottery, doodle, and photography. I recently got into gardening and growing an herb garden. Hi! I’m a 29-year-old recent medical school graduate with a deep love for caring for others, especially kids. I graduated from the University of San Francisco and have spent time working at UCSF in cancer research, as well as building a nonprofit organization that I’m incredibly passionate about. I’ve had several years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages, including those with medical complexities. I’ve supervised up to 15 kids at a time while directing a summer science camp, provided consistent after-school care, and worked closely with families over multiple years. I also spent three years working at a tutoring center, so I’m very comfortable helping with homework and learning activities. I truly enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences for kids, whether that’s baking together, doing arts and crafts, playing sports, exploring parks, or organizing little “adventures” around the city like trips to museums, hikes, or the beach. I’ve also supported families during overnights, vacations, and special events like birthdays and weddings. I’m known for being extremely patient, dependable, and a strong communicator with parents. Hey there! I am a nursing student at USF, with a varied schedule week to week. Prior to starting this program, I worked in oncology & public health research, and earned a masters in public health from UC Berkeley. I have enjoyed working with children for years; through child care, school tutoring, and summer camp settings. I have experience caring for children from a wide range of ages (newborns to middle-school age), and caring for multiple children at once. I've spent the most time with 4-5 year old children working at summer camps including Camp Galileo, where I was given the opportunity to educate, lead, learn, and develop my skills with these kids. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I am able to suggest plans for taking the kids out for the day, often doing some of the same activities and going to the same places I loved as a kid (parks, the SF zoo, the beach, baking, biking, to name a few). I also love hanging out at home with them, playing their own favorite games, cooking, creating art, and reading. I am also CPR-certified.

Hi, I'm Wendi--a really fun sitter who has worked with kids of all ages for over twenty years. I'm also a mom who has had a fantastic time raising four kids in SF. I love working with groups of kids and was a Nursery Director for seventeen years caring for children from birth to age three. Currently, I teach first and second-grade at a public charter school which led me into the adventure of homeschooling my 13-year-old daughter. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are read, bake, explore Golden Gate Park, and play board games. I have also facilitated regular parenting classes dealing with topics such as anxiety in the home, choosing the right SF school for your child, and how to bring "play" into your daily routines.
