Hi, there! My name is Katherine and, as the oldest of five girls, I have been babysitting for as long as I can remember. My first experience with babysitting was for my mom—I would watch my little sisters while she ran errands. As I got older, I started babysitting for some of the families in my neighborhood and continued until I went away to college. In college, I nannied for a couple of different families. One of these families had seven children, ranging in age from 3 to 18. While I mostly spent time with the two little ones, I also chauffeured four of the older children around to their sports practices and various extracurricular activities. In addition to nannying, I also taught an after-school cooking and nutrition program to elementary school age children as part of an internship in college. After college, I moved to Spain to teach English and also tutored for several families on the side. Now, some of my friends and family members are starting to have children of their own and I am always happy to watch them if they have things to do or they just need a break. In addition to babysitting, I also have some pet sitting experience. While attending law school, I somehow found time to pet sit for my neighbors. I eventually decided to make a Rover profile and I have continued to book pet sitting jobs through the app. Additionally, I also adopted a cat. A little about me—I just moved to Denver from Washington, D.C. last July and I am absolutely loving everything about living here. During the week, I work as an attorney in downtown Denver, but I try to spend every weekend in the mountains. I got engaged this past July and I am planning a Summer 2026 wedding here in Colorado. Hello! I have plenty experience with infants, toddlers, young children and pets. I have months of experience working with an infant who required oral meds for reflux and thrush. This caused her to rarely sleep (reflux woke her up) and was up every 30 min most nights. I am no stranger to holding babies while they nap (if needed and preferred by parents). I love engaging in play, learning games, etc. I believe in gentle but firm corrections. I do NOT believe in yelling or intimidation tactics and will not book with you if that is expected. Children need a safe space to grow and develop properly. As for pets I have years of expierence. I have a German shepherd myself who is trained. I have worked at doggie daycares/boarding facilities. I understand a fair amount of dog body language, how to break up fights (depending on size of both dogs), how to give meds, and can do some light training if needed. I also have expierence with cats, rabbits, ferrets, and rats. I can care for certain farm animals if they are friendly. My knowledge on reptiles/amphibians is very limited outside of frogs and turtles. I have my own house cleaning business and can work that in for a different rate depending on what is needed.
