Hi, I'm Leah! I am originally from New Jersey, but have lived all over, and am now currently a Kindergarten teacher here in the Denver area. I hold my masters of elementary education and have loved being able to take my passion for working with children and make a career out of it. I have over 10 years of babysitting and nannying experience, working with ages ~6 months to 13 years old. Most of my experience is with 4-6 year olds, but I am comfortable with all ages! I'm an active person who loves the outdoors and can easily keep up with young kids on the move. Hi! I’m a 4th Grade teacher in Denver Public Schools district on summer break. I’ve taught elementary grade levels (all subjects!) for 6 years. Throughout the years, I’ve taught 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I am very familiar with the Literacy and Math standards progression from K-5 and the strategies/language students need to learn to reach their academic goals. In past summers, I have taught summer school, coordinated summer camps, and worked for the parks and rec department a coaching soccer and basketball. I believe that learning needs to be a great mix of hard work and fun! This summer, I decided to take the summer off and not commit to a full time position.
