Annie $18 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm originally from Atlanta and have been living in DC for the past two years while attending law school. Before moving here, I was a full-time nanny for three years, caring for two wonderful kids between the ages of 3 and 6. I also have experience babysitting children of all ages, from infants to teens. I love spending time reading, crafting, and doing puzzles with kids—and I'm always happy to help with furry family members too! I have a great eye for organization and enjoy tidying up as I go. Looking forward to connecting with a great family!

Hi! I’m Fatou, a Howard University student majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Biology and Maternal and Child Health with dreams of becoming a travel midwife. I’m experienced and comfortable working with children of all ages—from infants and toddlers to older kids. My background includes leading activities as an elementary summer camp program leader as well as tutoring and mentoring middle and high schoolers here in DC. I’m patient, super reliable, and always happy to help with homework, creative play, or any housework that needs to be done. I’m also a huge animal lover (I have a cat named Henry!) and would love to bring my energy and experience to help your family!😊

Shannon 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Washington Navy Yard, DC

Hi! I’m Shannon and I've just finished my Master’s at the London School of Economics and recently moved back to Washington, D.C. I went to George Washington University for undergrad and have lived in D.C. for almost seven years, so I know the area well and love being back in the city. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 and have worked with kids of all ages, from tiny newborns to energetic middle schoolers. I absolutely love spending time with kids and finding fun, creative things to do together (whether that’s setting up a scavenger hunt around the house, crafting, dancing, or planning activities that match their unique interests)! In the past, I’ve also tutored and taught ballet, so I’m always happy to help with homework or come up with ways to get everyone moving and having fun. I used to do school and activity pick-ups (though I don’t have a car in D.C. right now), and I’m more than happy to help out around the house by cooking dinner, tidying up, or running light errands. I’m a big animal lover too! I have lots of experience with dogs and some with cats, and I even volunteered at an animal rescue for a few years. Families I’ve worked with in the past have described me as dependable, warm, and creative and I’d be happy to share references. My schedule is very flexible right now as I’m job-hunting, so I can easily adjust to what your family needs. Looking forward to meeting you and your little ones!

Shannon was a fantastic babysitter for my 9 year old daughter. They did crafts and art projects together and had a great time. My daughter can’t wait to see her again! Shannon was responsible, punctual, and a good communicator, and I definitely recommend her as a babysitter. She even was able to adjust the time at the last minute for me.

Hannah $18 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Hannah. I'm a young professional working in the non-profit legal space, and am currently saving up to go to law school. I'm offering child care and pet care services. I've been baby-sitting since I was 15 years old, and have cared for kids of all ages! I was also a camp counselor for 6 years, and primarily worked with kids ages 6-10. I have experience doing pickup/drop-off from school, crafts, tutoring, preparing meals, helping with potty-training, and much more. I love reading books, doing art projects, and encouraging imaginative play with the kids that I care for.

Bex $20 per hour for 1 child

I'm a graduate student and long-time neighborhood babysitter, house-sitter, and dog/cat-sitter! I grew up around a big family with lots of kids, often taking care of the youngest ones over summer breaks, and, in college, became a reliable source for babysitting and animal care in my community! I am also a Teach For America Fellow, tutoring elementary and middle school aged students. I have a reliable car, and am a jack of all trades when it comes to meeting your family's needs!
