*I will be at Salisbury University till December 19th, I’m not currently able to take any DMV bookings! Thank you! I look forward to helping out when I’m back* Hi families! I’m Edina, but I go by Edie! I’m in the process of becoming a special education teacher, and working with children is truly my passion. I’m very active, fun, and love taking kids to the playground, doing pretend play, reading, and other engaging activities. I also love creating spaces where kids feel seen, heard, safe, and encouraged to be themselves. I have handled many routines such as bedtime, evenings and afternoons. I’m currently studying Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education at Salisbury University. I’m trained in advanced childcare and certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. I don’t drive but I’m super comfortable taking Metro, MetroBus and Lyft. I’ve worked with a few wonderful families on UrbanSitter and would love to connect with more this season for date nights, evenings, and afternoons. If you’re looking for a warm, reliable, and fun sitter, feel free to reach out or send me a booking request!

Edina was great! When another sitter canceled, she responded quickly and arrived early for instructions. She played soccer in the backyard, got to kids fed and bathed and our 4 & 7 year old had the best time with her!

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 14 families in Washington, DC

Hi! My name is Bryn, I’m 25 and a registered nurse in the ICU at Georgetown Hospital. I’m CPR certified and previously volunteered as an EMT. I have a car and clean driving record, passed a background check and drug test for work, and of course am fully vaccinated. I grew up (and still live) in Arlington and I have been babysitting in this area since high school. I joined Urban Sitter since all those kids are older now! I spent two summers as a nanny here, working with a 3 year old and then a set of 6 year old twins. I was also a lifeguard and have coached youth basketball and ultimate frisbee. I have a younger brother with ADHD and have spent many hours tutoring him. I have a math background (majored in statistics at UVA) but also love reading and writing, so I’m always happy to help with any homework. While babysitting, I enjoy doing crafts, reading, board/card games, and playing outside when the weather is nice. I adore all pets and don’t mind helping out with walking or feeding. I also always make sure to clean up after meals, activities, etc. Let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to hearing from you!!

Booked by 7 families in Washington, DC

Hi! I’m Cate. I’ve been babysitting since 2018, and I absolutely love working with kids. I’ve worked at a summer camp for 4-6 year olds since 2021, and in 2022 I became an Assistant Director there. Spending my summers helping little kids learn, play, and feel confident has been one of my favorite experiences! I’m also a huge animal person! I’ve had dogs my whole life and have plenty of experience with dog sitting and dog walking. Whether it’s keeping up with a high-energy pup or giving extra love to a calmer older dog, I’m comfortable with all types. I’m friendly, responsible, and easygoing, and I always try to create a safe, fun, and positive environment — whether I’m caring for kids or pets. I’d love to help your family however I can!
