Mary Kate $18 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Mary Kate, and I would love to be your next babysitter. I have experience working with school-aged children as both a camp counselor and a tutor, so I prioritize creating an environment that balances learning and fun. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and as a creative person, I love incorporating art, imagination, and hands-on activities into playtime. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan and am currently taking a gap year before attending graduate school. During this time, I’m working full-time as a Student Success Coach with AmeriCorps and am especially interested in supporting families on weekends. I’m easygoing, reliable, and flexible, and I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family!

Emily $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! My name is Emily and I am originally from the Quad Cities but have been living in Chicago for the past 2.5 years after graduating from the University of Kansas. I have experience babysitting and part-time nannying children of all ages. During prior jobs I loved coming up with creative activities, going on neighborhood walks, and playing games in the park. I am also comfortable taking care of animals. I grew up with a dog and I have a cat of my own. In my free time I enjoy sailing on Lake Michigan, reading anything from thrillers to memoirs, and painting what ever is inspiring to me in the moment.

Ava $15 per hour for 1 child

I am a second-year medical student at Loyola with a background in neuroscience and I am looking to help families, offering child and senior care. I have experience as a caregiver for my grandmother and for my autistic brother. I have also worked as a math tutor, so I am happy to help with tutoring or errands like driving to/from school and appointments. Ideally, I am hoping to house-sit and have time to study for my own school work alongside helping kids with their homework. I am allergic to animal dander, but I am a huge animal lover nevertheless! Other fun facts about me: I play the flute and piano, I used to play soccer and now rock climb, and I volunteer at the Field Museum!

$18 per hour for 1 child

Greetings! I am First Aid and CPR Certified, and 37 years old. I have raised and trained two dogs, cared for seniors experiencing dementia and have 20 years experience caring for children of all ages. My strategy with kids (and seniors) is to slow down, answer all questions and give them options. As big sister to three boys, my entire childhood and young adulthood involved caring for kids. Once I left home, I became a certified post-partum doula, then went on to nanny full time. I became more curious about teaching kids, so became a theater teacher for kids ages 3-11 for 6 years. I am looking to build some caretaking relationships for children, pets and seniors.

Emily is an empathetic, creative, and compassionate caregiver. I feel completely at peace when she spends time with my son, because I know that her attention is on him fully, and she is so playful and engaging. Her patience is enviable and it is obvious she has spent much of her life around little ones- keeping them safe and encouraging play. I know this, because I have had the joy of watching them interact, and I see how focused she is on him and very tuned into how he likes to interact with the world; but also because my son begs to spend time with her. I would be delighted to speak with anyone who is considering hiring her.

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Chicago, IL

Hi there! My name’s Mikyhia, and I recently graduated from DePaul University with a degree in African and Black Diaspora Studies and a minor in Political Science. I’ve always loved working with kids— I’ve spent years, before and during my time at university– mentoring, teaching, and caring for children and teens, from little ones in my community to older students in classroom and program settings. I’m passionate about helping children learn through creativity, whether that means storytelling, art projects, or imaginative play. My background as a creative professional and instructor has taught me how to engage kids in ways that spark curiosity and confidence. I love designing fun, educational activities that combine play with learning — like mini art lessons, building projects, or creative writing games. Throughout my professional journey, I’ve worked in roles that required patience, leadership, and organization — from developing educational programs at DePaul to mentoring teens at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center. These experiences strengthened my belief that every child learns differently, and that creativity is one of the most powerful tools for growth and connection. I’m excited to bring that same energy, care, and imagination into your home — helping your little ones explore, create, and feel supported every step of the way. And a little fun fact about me to break the ice: I played the cello professionally for almost 10 years and would like to pick it up again someday (for now its a fun hobby of mine)

Mikyhia's professionalism and reliability gave us complete peace of mind, and her courteous approach made the entire experience stress-free. She didn’t just clean—she transformed a very cluttered dusty space into a fresh, organized, and inviting environment. Mikyhia shared practical tips to keep the room clutter-free and even taught us how to optimize our washer for better efficiency. She went above and beyond by washing beddings and pillows and thoroughly sterilizing and sanitizing and moving out furniture. What truly sets her apart is her ability to tackle even the toughest situations—she’s "a tough cookie" who can help hoarders let go of items that aren’t needed or don’t hold sentimental value, encouraging donations to organizations that help those who are in need or less fortunate. Mikyhia is the one you can trust to deliver exceptional results and add real value,
