Hi - My name is Gisele and I'm currently a nursing student going for my masters degree while finding my passion and future specialty. I am offering child care, senior care, and household services. I am open to taking care of pets in addition, as long as the animal is trained and low maintenance. As the 4th in a line of 5 siblings I have extensive experience with toddlers and young children. As a caregiver, my grandmother was my 1st client. I begged my mother to pull her out of the nursing home (after seeing how she was treated there) and to allow me to take care of her full time while I finished high school via homeschooling. I received proper training and several certifications from Help at Home, SEIU for HSP, and many other certifications that have contributed to my over all success as a caregiver giver over the cumulative 6 year time span. Additionally, I have experience with dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s. My duties as a caregiver have included (but not limited to) escort shifts (doctor’s appts / running errands), medication reminders and management, as well as household management. My specialty with children as well as senior clients are centered around enrichment and mental development. I am CPR certified, have my own vehicle and have a fingerprint record in the IL registry. As previously mentioned I can also function as a household assistant or manager. I ran a department for a South Suburban township for 5 years. This role required me to create and maintain tracking software, track application invoices, scheduling across 4 different calendars, run reports and administer training. On top of conducting intake for my own clients. While my employment history is colorful, I do believe my experience makes me uniquely suited for a multitude of tasks. I am an ER Physician Assistant waiting to begin my job in April/May! I love kiddos and am looking to help families out while supplementing my income before beginning my career. My previous experience includes babysitting, working with children and adults with developmental disabilities, and working in a pediatric hospital. I spent 4 years as an ER tech at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH which is a Level 1 trauma center so I am very informed on safety, illness prevention, and complex medical conditions. I have experience with infants 0 days old all the way up to 18 year olds. I absolutely adore younger kids and babysitting opportunities so I can have fun doing crafts and playing outside! I grew up in Denver, CO and love the outdoors and really enjoy taking kiddos outside when possible and away from their tablets.
