Hi! My name is Florence and I love being a sitter because it’s really fun being part of a child’s early years and helping them learn and grow. I have experience babysitting for my cousins’ newborn babies and other children, and I also worked at a daycare for about a year. During that time I learned how to care for kids of different ages, keep them entertained, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and experienced with feeding babies and changing diapers. I’m currently in 12th grade and plan to become a clinical psychologist in the future because I enjoy working with and supporting children.

I have always been said to have a gift for caring for babies even when I was a baby myself. I have always wanted to help others which is why I am headed for the medical field. I am currently pursuing a BSN in biology with a minor in psychology, child development is something I have always been amused by and I find it an honor to be a part of a child’s development. Growing up the legal working age was 16 so I was babysitting for friends and family from ages 10-15. I still offer my services to this day. I have been a tutor to older kids, and a caregiver to their younger siblings while keeping the house tidy. At most I have cared for 3 siblings all at different developmental stages (ages 1-9). I have cared for newborns as well. I am a direct care professional for adults with special needs half time, I was also a PCA for elderly memory challenged clients.

I have over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and hold an Early Education Certificate from Rasmussen College. I’ve cared for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in childcare centers, as a nanny, and through babysitting. I love bringing arts, crafts, STEM activities, and games to make learning fun. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, comfortable driving, cleaning, caring for multiple children, and love animals. I’m very communicative and always follow each family’s routine and preferences.
