I'm Camila, new to NYC and looking for babysitter opportunities! I'm a caring and experienced babysitter with a strong background working with children of all ages. I've been babysitting for years, including supporting a child with special needs, and I'm comfortable adapting to different needs and personalities. I've also worked as a Spanish teacher for kids, which I love incorporating into fun, engaging activities, and have experience in a daycare setting managing multiple children at once. I love working with children even in my professional career, where I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with child actors, producing, directing, and helping them train their performance. This has strengthened my ability to guide kids with patience, creativity, and structure. I can care for dogs/cats and light housekeeping and organizational tasks and errands. I'm patient, reliable, and truly enjoy creating a safe, positive environment where kids can learn and have fun.

Booked by 4 families in Long Island City, NY

Hi! I am 25 years old, and moved to NYC in 2017 to attend NYU, where I received a degree in Public Policy and Spanish. I have been babysitting and nannying, all throughout high school, college, and postgrad. I have extensive experience working with kids 8months-13 years old and spent two years working for an education company teaching 5th-12th graders. I am trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Farsi. I am extremely patient and always reliable. I would be happy to help with homework and assist with chores around the house.

Nadia is wonderful! She has been filling in for our nanny while she is on holiday. Our 2.5 loved her since her first visit, she is fun and creative.

Hi!! My name is Julia and I am a recent college graduate and young professional with over 10 years of babysitting experience. During college, I ran my own babysitting company linking college students with local families, onboarding a network of 35 college sitters. I work with families of all sizes and have experience with children aged 1+. I truly love kids and enjoy helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment. Whether it's singing, dancing, acting, playing pretend, helping with homework, or simply keeping things running smoothly, I'm dedicated to making every experience positive for both the kids and the parents. I am a former sleepaway camp counselor and group leader for girls aged 10-14, and taught dance to children at my local studio for 5 years throughout high school. I’m extremely reliable, caring, and excited to support you and your family! Feel free to reach out - id be happy to hop on the phone as well as send along excellent references! :)

Julia was amazing. Was able to travel around the city with us and our son. And was fantastic with him through bedtime. Would 100 percent recommend.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Long Island City, NY

Hello! I’m Naomi, a recent college grad from NYU and someone who loves spending time with children. I received my BFA in Drama and Film from NYU, so I am quite the creative person, and love doing dramatic play, music, and various world-building activities with younger children. Throughout college, I became increasingly interested in childhood development, and took many Childhood and Adolescent Mental Studies (CAMS) classes. These classes allowed me to learn more about the early development process in infants, children, and adolescents, which further my interest in early childhood education. I worked with Jumpstart while I was at NYU - a program that provided preschool aged children in underfunded schools more opportunities to learn reading and comprehension skills. I worked as a Corps Member, but learned the most as a Team Leader my senior year. As a TL, I worked with a team of corps members to plan session plans, find engaging ways to interact with children and increase their reading and comprehension skills, guide trainings and reviews of best practices for storybook readings and vocabulary lessons, and much more. I lead team meetings, prepared different effective activities, and fostered a positive learning environment. This being said, I do have a lot of experience working with 3-5 year olds in an educational setting, but also have worked with families with children ranging from 1 year to 10 years old. I myself am also an aunt to my lovely niece and nephew, and watched over them from when they were infants until them now being 3 and 1 1/2, respectively. Currently, I am the Lead Babysitter at Chelsea Piers Fitness in Flatiron. I love going on walks, doing activities, arts and crafts, and finding different ways to engage with children. I can also do light housekeeping and prep snacks/meals. I also have worked with several families outside of Urban Sitter, and can give you references if you would like :) Thank you for reading - good luck on your search!

Naomi was great! Responded quickly and was punctual. Would definitely hire her again!

Britney 3 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Britney, a 25-year-old marketing professional looking to babysit part-time. I have experience caring for children ranging from toddlers (2 years old) to young teens. I spent a summer regularly caring for a 5 year old during early morning - afternoon shifts, where I handled morning routines, meals, naps, and trips to the park.   I’m patient, attentive, and love keeping kids engaged through reading, games, and creative play, especially when screen time is limited. I’m also happy to accompany children to nearby parks or activities within walking distance or a short subway ride. I aim to create a safe, fun, and structured environment that both kids and parents can feel comfortable with.

Britney is phenomenal with childcare. She pays close attention to needs to ensure that children feel seen. She also has many interests and hobbies that allow her to introduce kids to different art forms and help them with their creativity!
