Hi! I'm Rachel, and I absolutely love being a babysitter and caretaker! There's something so rewarding about working with kids, and I've been lucky enough to have some amazing experiences along the way. I've worked at a pediatric occupational therapy clinic where I learned how to help children reach their full potential while making sure they have fun in the process. I've also coached gymnastics, where I got to watch kids grow, challenge themselves, and celebrate their successes. Whether it's playing games, teaching new skills, or just being there to lend a hand, I'm passionate about helping kids feel safe, happy, and supported. I'm all about having fun, staying positive, and making sure every moment is filled with joy! I'd describe my personality as fun, creative, and friendly I like working with kids because they are curious, creative and are witnessing the world for the first time. Being able to be to help foster their creative spirit and witness their development is rewarding. I’ve been a nanny here in New York for a little over a year now and worked with a variety of children ages 4mo-12 years. Also available for: - house assistant work/ errands / home projects - pet sitting and walking - House Sitting

Our son, 9, had so much fun with Rachel. She was punctual, communicative, and considerate.

Ammar 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

I began working with children initially in 2011. I started as an assistant to a Taekwondo sensei (Now known as Johnny Karate on Court Street) when I was a junior black belt. From 2[removed] I worked in Kids Orbit After School Program based in Brooklyn New York, and their summer program Park Slope Day Camp where I worked for 3 summers (2 as a supervisor). Within those 3 years with Kids Orbit/PSDC, I was a Taekwondo Specialist, worked their after school program as a counselor, and worked in public elementary schools as a recess employee. During this timeframe I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors degree where I majored in psychology and Children and Youth Studies (3.94 GPA). I began babysitting for 1 family exclusively for 4 years from approximately 2014-2018 in Carroll Gardens. I worked with a 7 year old girl and 4 year old boy until they turned 11 and 8 respectively. In 2018, I had to leave that babysitting opportunity as I began working with the Administration for Children Services as a Child Protective Specialist (CPS) and their hours were demanding. I worked there until 2022. I have not worked with any children since 2022, but am now a State employee and I have over 11 years experience in the field. I am looking to pick up some part time hours, or 1 family I can work with consistently.

I highly recommend Ammar as a caregiver & babysitter for children of any age! Ammar cared for our two children (a boy and a girl) over the course of several years and through various stages of their interests and development (ages 4-10). He was extremely reliable, but more importantly, truly cared for their needs, developing a strong rapport with both of them and took a real interest in whatever they were into (art, music, pop culture, reading, etc). Not only did our kids look forward to seeing Ammar regularly, but as parents, we felt completely comfortable leaving them in his hands, whether for an after-school pick-up until we got home, or an extended night out. Whatever the situation, he was responsible, smart, and communicative, detailing the day’s events. He not only handled the basics (homework, meal-prep, playtime) but was conscientious and always looking for new ways to engage or entertain our kids. We love Ammar and, even to this day, consider him family and a part of our lives.

Hello! My name is Sienna. I’m a recent graduate from the UPenn and am an oncology nurse here in NYC. I work with the adult population in the hospital, but I’ve always loved working with kids. I was a babysitter for 2 years in high school, and I also worked in a children’s hospital throughout my time in undergrad. I’m attentive, detail oriented, patient, and especially love being playful with kids. I'm comfortable with a variety of tasks, from arts and crafts to tutoring to accompanying kids to their extracurriculars. I’m also an avid cook and baker outside of my full time job and would be more than happy to bring those skills to your family as well! On top of that, I am CPR certified and happy to provide care if your child has any medical needs. I am allergic to cats but am happy to work with families with dogs!

(New profile - waiting on reviews - can provide references) Hello! My name is Caroline, and I'm a writer originally from Dallas, Texas now living in the North Williamsburg/South Greenpoint area. I recently graduated from NYU and have a flexible work schedule, so I’m available for occasional or regular babysitting! I grew up as the 2nd oldest child (firstborn daughter) in a LARGE, multi-home blended family with animals constantly around, so I've been looking after other kids (and pets) since I was a kid myself :) I absolutely love working with kids because every day brings something new and rewarding—whether it’s seeing a child achieve a milestone or simply sharing a laugh. I have 8 years of regular caregiving experience for other families in both Texas and New York City. I've worked with children from infancy to high school age, including children with special needs/disabilities. I'm well-versed in sibling dynamics and open to providing hands-on care for 2-3 children at a time -- potentially more depending on the ages of the children and/or in nanny-share situations. I started babysitting at 14 during my high school years, which I spent serving my community as a peer mentor and "PAL" (peers in assistance, leadership, & service) for children who had ongoing personal hardships, suffered recent traumatic events, and/or were new to the school. I started working with kids of varied cognitive disabilities in grade school as apart of a volunteer special education program, so I am comfortable working with children who have differentiating physical and/or mental functionalities. I believe that play is one of the best ways for kids to learn and grow, so I love creating fun, imaginative activities that engage kids while helping them develop new skills. I'm happy to help with homework (bonus: I'm trilingual) in any subject, to the best of my ability. I’m not a "passive" sitter - I love to keep kids engaged, and am committed to facilitating and maintaining their routines. I'm a big believer in bedtime stories, positivity, and patience. Other bonuses: I've cared for sick or wounded animals at home and volunteering at an animal sanctuary, and worked as a petsitter/dog-walker 10-15 hrs/wk while in college. Every child and home is unique. I want to be as attuned to their/your needs and preferences as possible, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a call or meeting.

Super warm, instantly connected with the boys, flexible when we unexpectedly needed her much longer, and kept us updated!! Thank you so much! Can’t wait to have her back!

priya $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! I’m a registered nurse, aunt, and a proud dog mom! I began my healthcare career as a CNA in a nursing home while in nursing school, where I learned the importance of patience, compassion, and hands-on care. After becoming an RN, I worked with psychiatric patients and also completed training as a school nurse, giving me valuable experience caring for children and managing their health needs in a supportive & structured setting. Currently, I work at a medical spa, but nurturing others will always be close to my heart. Whether it’s soothing your baby to sleep, sparking imagination through stories, helping with homework, exploring the outdoors, or sharing laughter over something silly. I’m passionate about creating a safe, uplifting space where kids feel loved, confident, and free to grow. I’m also passionate about shaping the future generation and enjoy guiding kids through challenges with patience and empathy. I’d be honored to bring warmth, reliability, and genuine care into your home. 💕
