Hiya! I have 15 years of experience working with kids of which I was a nanny for 10 years, and I’ve worked with children from 2 days old to 17 years old. I've also worked in several schools in different roles, working with students both with and without special needs ages 6-19. I spent the 2[removed] school year in San Antonio working as a mentor and tutor in a highschool with City Year, a well known AmeriCorps program. I worked with students on behavior, set goals for improving attendance, and wrote lesson plans as well as tutored them in English 1 and 2(9th and 10th grade) to improve their grades. I have previously taken child development courses pertaining to positive discipline, behavior, and nutrition, and my CPR classes are always up to date. I love going to the park, beach, museums, and anywhere worthwhile. I love to construct anything a child can think of out of various materials, and am open to any ideas that they can throw at me. I adapt to any given child's needs, as not all children are the same. I do however enforce rules and guidelines that I feel are needed to have a great time without harming anyone in anyway. I am open to different parenting styles and techniques and will adhere to them with your child. I have experience providing care during weddings, corporate events, family parties, theme parks, and full weekend/overnight care. Ask me about my overnight(24hrs of care) rate! My Calendar is ALWAYS* (*99.1% of the time) up to date, I try my hardest to update it asap whenever something changes. *I do NOT accept bookings that have no message, or information about the booking, or contain the standard message provided by Urbansitter. Cancelations with less than 72 hours notice have a fee of 50% of booked time. Cancelations with less than 24 hours notice must be paid in full. I budget based on bookings and when a booking is canceled it directly impacts my budget. Thank you for understanding. Hello, I'm Gina and I’m so excited to work with you! I’m a graduate of NYU where I received my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance (musical theatre). I’ve received in person guided and hands on training/instruction and certification in both adult and infant First Aid and CPR. I’m the middle child of three children, and one of 22 grandchildren in my family so I am very accustomed to being surrounded by young children running around! My mother has worked as an early childhood educator/administrator my entire life. Many of the tactics she utilized in her classroom were the same ones she used raising my siblings and I. Hi guys, I have my BSN in nursing currently studying for my license. I have babysat for over 7 years personally but worked with kids for 9 years since I worked in summer camps. EXPERIENCES: I have worked in clinical settings with children such as pediatrics and NICU. But I also have experience with children with autism and ADHD for over 4 years.
