I’m great at listening without judging, helping them navigate high school stress, teaching them how to cook basic meals, working on life skills for their adulthood that they may not know they need but do, executive functioning skills, time management, and financial responsibility, and supporting them as they grow into independent young adults. Doing meal preparation for children, children's laundry, and keeping play areas, bedrooms, and gear sanitized and organized. **Safety & Emergency: I'm Highly vigilant and proactive regarding child safety, both inside the home and out in the community. I love having fun but safety comes first. I believe in open lines of communication providing detailed daily updates and teamwork. When I’m not busy, You can usually find me outside, reading/boardgames, something artsy, and always music. I’m also a bit of a self-proclaimed bird nerd—crows are my absolute favorite. Hugely active in Special Olympics and challengers baseball league communities, and I have been and still am employed with an active provider number through developmental disabilities for 9 years

I am 39 years old, a recent graduate from PSU, with a minor in child, youth and family studies. I have been working at a therapeutic school for the last year with students aged 9-14. I have prior experience working with pre-school aged children and their families. I enjoy working with Autistic children. I will be starting grad school in the fall for school counseling. I have been a devoted cat dad for 16 years. I have been utilized for pet sitting and house sitting with rave reviews. I previously had my own catering busines, am an avid gardener, and have a background in art. I do love cooking and working with kids in the kitchen. I have experience as a private chef, including live-in services for a vegan family with young children. I love reading with kids, playing board games, encouraging music and exploration of the imagination.

I grew up caring for a lot of my younger cousins, so I know how to handle chaos. I find kiddos to be very intresting little people, and love the times I get to spend with them. I would love to help be a support in kids' lives that I knew I needed when I was younger. I live with three dogs and two cats, and in the past I've cared for guinea pigs, gerbils, fish, and lizards. No animal is too much for me to handle. I love them and I love being around them!
