Hello!! My name is Mikaela and my husband and I recently moved to the Columbia area from Charleston. I graduated from the Charleston School of Law in May and sat for the South Carolina Bar Exam this summer; I am now awaiting results! Previously, I worked as both a Montessori preschool teacher and a nanny, and when we moved to Columbia I decided I wanted to work with children again! Although I am currently employed with a law firm, I do have early morning, evening, and weekend availability. I absolutely adore working with children of all ages, especially special needs kiddos, and can easily tailor the care I provide to fit appropriate age levels. When I have kids in my care, we tend to create very imaginative (and elaborate!) games, access our inner Picasso, or go for "treasure hunts" around the neighborhood. :) I love to emphasize collaboration and teamwork between children, so the more the merrier!
