Hi! My name is Nici, and I am 23 years old. I enjoy working with children, and have served in childcare settings since late high school/early college. I began babysitting when I was a preteen. Unlike most sitters, I was raised as an only child. My love for children stems from a desire for sibling companionship, and a desire to someday raise a big family. I have always exhibited a motherly nature, and treat other people’s children as my own. I am new to the housesitting experience, and began in summer 2026. So far, I have house-sat/pet-sat for two families: a family with two cats, and a family with a dog. I have a third opportunity to housesit for a newlywed couple (their cat) in mid October as they travel for their honeymoon. Initially, I began volunteering in the children’s ministry at my former ministry for 3-4 years. At this ministry, I worked with ages 4-13, and engaged with them through games, arts and crafts, holiday parties, bible lessons, you name it. For the past two years, I have professionally worked in a childcare setting for a local ministry with ages 0-9. I tend to the children in outdoor and indoor play, stations, meal time, and dance parties. While enrolled in university, I pursued Elementary Education, with the hope to become a teacher. I completed over sixty hours of the program. For two school years, I worked at a local preschool in Memphis with ages 0-5. At my current ministry, I serve on a biweekly schedule with the toddler class. In the past, I have extended babysitting services to families with multiple children: a family of four, a family of five, and a family of six. I am currently pursuing CPR and First-Aid certification. I work full-time at a local car dealership, with availability to extend and maintain consistent childcare services on weekday evenings, and over the weekend, along with housesitting/petsitting. I would love to build a relationship with your child(ren), pet(s), and become a flexible, occasional, and part-time help to better serve the needs of your family!

I am a retired school administrative assistant. Over many years, I have worked with children of all ages in the school system and caring for them in my home childcare business. I keep the children busy with hands-on learning, singing, dancing, age-appropriate books, DVD's and videos along with arts and crafts. I have also worked many years as a care-giver/CNA in private homes and in nursing home facilities. I am First Aid/CPR certified for infants, children and adults. Also, being a former residential cleaning business owner, I have many years of experience in cleaning vacant and occupied properties and doing trash-outs.
