Hello! My name is Jenni. I am a mother of both a 26 year old and a 9 year old. I homeschool and volunteer at a nearby school (elementary age). I have a passion for baking, arts, audio books, and playing with our family’s boxer puppy. I moved to Vancouver 4 years ago. Before this, I was a manager of a daytime program for people with developmental disabilities. I worked in this field for approximately 15 years. In addition, I also worked in a facility for elderly adults; ADL’s, end of life care, and medication assistance. I’ve dabbled in insurance, accounting, and other jobs. However, I always go back to working with people.. both children and adults. I love dogs and cats as well. I currently have a boxer puppy with tons of energy! I am a semi-retired licensed Registered Nurse with five grown children and four grandchildren. I have worked as a nanny full time, part time, and night nurse. I have done occasional work for families for nights out, special events, and sick children who cannot attend regular childcare. I have also covered babysitting services for a conference in the past. My experience includes all ages, multiple children, diabetics, and neurodivergent children. I’ve been babysitting since I was a teenager. I love children and animals and I spend my childcare time reading, playing, dancing, exercising, walking, and doing crafts. Our days are very busy and interactive. I try to make basic daily tasks fun to keep the children engaged and willing to do things like hand washing and clean up. I am patient, kind, and loving. I have my own vehicle and a clean driving record if transportation should be necessary. Pets are not a problem. I will happily feed, water, walk, brush, play with and/or check-in on your animals.
