Hi my name is Shalyn! I’m a psychology major at CWU and am getting my degree through their online program so my schedule is very flexible. My dream job is an elementary school counselor. I am offering childcare, pet care, help with household needs and running errands. I have a car and a spotless driving record. I am wilderness first responder certified, which includes emergency first aid, rescue training and CPR a certification. I am the oldest kid of my parents friend group and the oldest grandchild so I have been watching after my younger sister, cousins and neighbors most of my life, but I have officially started babysitting (aka getting paid) since I was 14. I have worked with kids from ages 2 to 12. I have experience with potty training, changing diapers and children with allergies. I also have experience with working with kids with additional needs. I am knowledgeable and capable of creating fun craft projects and educational activities suitable for ages 2 to 12. My family has had dogs and cats my entire life and I’m extremely comfortable around them and love them a bunch. I am also comfortable around any other animal. I have experience cleaning and generally upkeep of a house. I also have a lot of experience cooking and baking and I have been told that I am very good.

I am a loving a compassionate person who loves helping individuals and their families in need of support . I have 15 plus years in customer service skills, and have a bachelors degree in social work. , I love working with both children and seniors as well as with their families. I’m flexible, easy going and am punctual. I have a good sense of humor and am a people person . I’m a very active person including exercise , walks, hiking, cooking and traveling. Hello! I’m a responsible college student that is looking for a part time job with some cool kids, pups, and cats :). I’ve worked at my mom’s daycare for two years with kids ages 2-7 at the same time, and loved it! I love kids and had even taught my little brother how to read his first book by reading him his favorite story every night until he read along! I was a also a trained life guard with CPR training and was very active in my high school swim team (taught my little brother how to swim too!). I love reading kids their books they bring and watching their favorite shows and movies. Snack and play time are one of my favorite parts of the day, fueling them then getting all their energy out with exercise and fun games. I have experience working in an assisted living home as a dietary aide (and an occasional dog walker to my favorite resident)…preparing and serving food as well as having a food handlers permit. I have plenty experience with cats and dogs (I own two of both!) and am eager to learn your routine with your fur friends!

Hello there! My name is Clare - I’m a female identifying 26 year old currently living on Vashon Island. After recently returning from working at the local clinic on San Juan Island this winter, and teaching English to elementary students in Spain last fall, I’m looking forward to spending this spring in my hometown before beginning a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner program at Seattle U in June. With a professional history of 3 years at Seattle Children’s Hospital working as a nursing assistant, supporting a Montessori preschool in north Seattle after graduating from UW in 2022, and extensive childcare experience throughout high school, I’m excited to be able to support another wonderful family. I am CPR certified for infants, children and adults, have experience working on a small organic farm with goats and chickens, and am fully licensed to drive with a personal vehicle as well as a current Washington State CNA license for more extensive care needs.
