Hi there, I am a Bay Area native with over 10 years of experience in child care. I have a background in Creative Arts and Hospitality. I am bi-lingual (Japanese/English). I have been a proud nanny to many children here in the Bay Area, and it still is such a privilege to watch these kids grow and make their way in the world. I started babysitting the neighbors kids when I was young and eventually started teaching English in Japan after high school. I’ve helped raise my 16 year old brother since birth and feel comfortable with all ages. I am willing to do house-work, meal preparation and planning, animal care and house sitting. I have experience with Grade/Montessori school activities and hope to provide an environment where the kids feel comfortable to be themselves, learn, create, and have fun! In my free time, I am learning about business administration and working on starting my first Japanese comfort food business! I look forward to meeting you and the family!

Booked by 9 families in Alameda, CA

Hello! My name is Marisol and I am currently a full-time Community Health Outreach Worker in SFUSD. I have a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley along with a minor in Gender and Women’s studies. I hope to one day become a social worker and continue working within SFUSD, serving the communities I love! Due to my daytime job, I am only seeking occasional jobs during evenings or anytime during the weekends. I have about 9 years of experience in childcare. I began by caring for my own family members while in high school, and with time, branched out to other families within the Bay Area. I really enjoy doing arts & crafts, academic support, and assisting youth in exploring their interests. Some of my past responsibilities have included pick-up/drop-off, going out to local activities, bedtime routines, and light tidying. I am also open to helping run errands! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or just to connect!

Booked by 10 families in Alameda, CA

Hello! My name is Corinne and I'm a student at CCSF studying to become a nurse. I've lived in San Francisco for three years and enjoy biking, hiking and knitting in my free time. I've been babysitting since I was 14 years old, and have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and school-age children, in groups or individually. My responsibilities have included leading online schoolwork during the pandemic, and I'm comfortable tutoring and helping with homework. Outside of schoolwork, I enjoy outdoor activities, reading to children, and arts and crafts. I also have worked as a chef, and love to cook for families and teach children age-appropriate cooking tasks if they're interested! I'm CPR certified for infants, children, and adults and certified for Basic Life Support and First Aid. I'm happy to help with clean-up, errands, cooking, and other household tasks. I am also comfortable working with families with pets.

“Corinne was a dream to work with and our kids loved her! We’re still hearing stories a week later of all of the fun they had. Corinne made everything feel stress free and went with the flow, which was exactly what our family needed. Highly recommend! ”

Booked by 5 families in Alameda, CA

Hi, I'm Ananda. I have a lot of experience caring for and teaching children. I have 18 ECE units and experience in preschool, elementary school, summer camp, and art workshops. I really love working with young children. I'm patient, compassionate, and a very good listener. I love reading, doing art, playing at the park, doing puzzles, singing songs, and anything else that is fun for kids. I am currently an After School Art teacher at the elementary level. I am First Aid/ CPR certified and will mainly be looking for work during the school summer break this year and will be open to ongoing occasional work during the school year. I love spending time outdoors and the idea of taking a walk with a kid and a dog sounds like a perfect summer afternoon. I love animals and have some experience walking dogs. I have more experience with cats although I'm mildly allergic to them. Additionally, I have cared for an elderly person helping with errands, rides, and support after surgery or injury. I am very open to helping a senior person. I love art, music, nature, and good conversation. I am also a person with strong reuse, recycle and diy interests. I love to repair things, like jewelry and clothes, and even stuffies! I love to participate in our local fix it fests and repair cafes. I have been teaching kids to sew and do crafts for over 3 years now. I have experience running creative workshops, which have included making earrings, bracelets, tissue paper flowers, skewer sculptures, slime, play dough, hula hoops, and sugar skulls w/ royal icing for Day of the Dead. I also have experience teaching people to make sauerkraut and preserved lemons. Overall, being thorough with details and having clear communication is very important to me. I look forward to meeting possible families who like the sound of what I have to offer. Be well, and have a great day.

“Ananda was so great with my 6yr old son! It’s clear that she loves children and will definitely book again.”
