Booked by 1 family in Alameda, CA

Hi! I’m Claudia, a caring and dependable childcare professional with 10+ years of experience working with children and families. I have a BA in Psychology and a background in education, teaching, literacy intervention, behavioral support, and long term nannying. I’ve worked with children from newborns through their teenage years and have experience with homework, reading, school routines, activities, transportation, and everyday care. I’ve also worked as a family assistant, helping with the day to day needs of busy families. I’m organized, patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoy working with children. I love creating a balance of structure and fun through reading, games, outdoor activities, crafts, and learning. I especially enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and finding activities they are excited about. I also speak English and Spanish fluently and have knowledge of Portuguese. I’m currently looking for occasional and weekend childcare opportunities and would love to be a dependable extra set of hands for your family!

“very capable and kind. prompt and helpful.”

Jennifer $25 per hour for 1 child

I'm a full-time professional and mom to a wonderful 22-year-old daughter, with years of hands-on experience supporting others—whether through parenting, helping aging relatives, or caring for pets. I'm now looking to give back to my community by offering caregiving and household help in my free time. I’m known for being reliable, warm, and thoughtful. I bring both energy and empathy to everything I do, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people of all ages. Whether it’s assisting with errands, offering companionship to seniors, or helping maintain a calm and organized home, I take pride in being dependable and attentive. I also bring a set of professional skills that translate well into caregiving: I’m highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical. I listen closely, anticipate needs, and follow through with care. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, exploring the city, and finding new ways to support and connect with my community.

Hannah 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m an energetic, easygoing, and very patient caregiver with lots of experience caring for kids of all ages — especially preschoolers. I started helping with younger children in after-school programs since I was 11. I’m great at keeping things fun, hands-on, and engaging while still being reliable and communicative with parents. Professionally, I worked as a summer camp counselor for two years with age ranges as young as 3 and as old as 11. During busy weeks, I successfully managed groups of up to 18 children and consistently received excellent reviews from parents for my attentiveness, creativity, and ability to build positive connections. Additionally, I volunteered at a children's hospital in their activities centers for 2 years as well. I’m highly communicative, flexible, and naturally a night owl, so late evening hours are a great fit for me (11pm is fine for me). I also have a day job and am comfortable with no guaranteed hours, so 1-2 times a month is perfect for me as long as dates are pre-communicated. I bring a lot of energy and patience to each job, which makes it easy for me to keep up with even the wiliest little ones. My goal is always to create a fun, nurturing environment where children feel safe and cared for while also supporting your family’s needs. I also grew up with dogs, so I am very comfortable with and am happy to assist with any pet needs as well.

“Hannah is always on time and presentable. She holds herself to a high standard and has a can-do type of personality. I appreciate that she actually puts the energy in and deeply cares about her position as a sitter. We give the highest rating possible and recommend Hannah to anyone who needs a sitter.”

Breanna $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi my name is Breanna, I am looking for a nanny share position. I currently have a almost 2 year old and am looking to bring her along with me. She’s very easy going and independent and loves going on walks along with other activities! I have been working with children for several years; caring for a newborn and triplets were two of my first babysitting jobs. Along with having worked with kids of all ages and having three younger siblings, I am CPR and first aid certified. I love children and love being a mother and am excited to find the right family for us!
