Hi! I’m Malissa — a reliable, flexible babysitter with 10+ years of experience. I’m 32, have my own car, and work with several wonderful families on both a weekly and occasional basis. I offer date night, overnight, and travel care, as well as pet and house-sitting. I work fully remote Monday–Friday (8–5), which allows me to help with school pickups, bring kids home, and keep them safe and engaged while I finish my workday. I’m happy to work from your home with Wi-Fi and a place to sit—this setup works great for the families I currently support. I’ve cared for children ages 0–17 and can help with homework, meals, light tidying, bedtime routines, and pet care—while making sure your kids are safe, happy, and well cared for. I accept Apple Pay, Zelle, check, and cash, and ask that payment be made by the time I leave. Overnight and travel care are available with custom rates, and I request toll reimbursement when applicable. I love building long-term relationships with families and look forward to meeting you! Warmly, Malissa
Hello Parents, I’m currently available for occasional babysitting and part-time childcare in Oakland. My childcare journey began in 2009, when I worked as an Au Pair in the Netherlands for a wonderful family with a seven-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl. After moving to the U.S. in 2011, I continued babysitting and have since gained experience with infants, multiples, and school-age children. Beyond keeping kids safe and supported, I focus on modeling kindness, curiosity, and respect. I enjoy supporting children as they build confidence, independence, and thoughtfulness. I have extensive experience with infants, babies (including multiples), toddlers, and school-age children. My most recent long-term childcare role was in 2021, caring for a one-year-old baby girl. Since then, I’ve continued babysitting regularly and maintaining long-term relationships with families. I’ve studied Child Development at Merritt College in Oakland, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising with a minor in Cinema, and recently completed my MBA. Outside of work, I’m a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoy walking, roller skating, playing music, reading, and watching movies. I’d love to meet your family and provide thoughtful, reliable care for your children. Thank you!
“Our family loves Leine. She is super reliable, a trusted companion to the kids, and very proactive with tidying around the house when she has time”
Hello! My name is Marleni and I love working with kids. I tutor kids in math, and babysit whenever possible. I know how to change diapers, cook, and entertain kids with books and games. Please feel free to reach out if you ever have a question. I hope you give me the opportunity to work with you. I also speak fluent Spanish, and would be willing to give lessons.
“Thanks Marleni!”
I’ve been on UrbanSitter for the past 6 years, and working with kids is something I truly love. Whether it’s playing games, helping with homework, or just being a positive and caring presence, I enjoy building meaningful connections with the families I work with.
I am an experienced childcare provider with five years of experience as a preschool teacher, and five years of experience as a nanny in families homes. I love to plan fun art activities, spend time outside exploring the natural world and teaching kids the names of different plants, and reading stories. I am currently enrolled in an herbal medicine program and am looking for part time work. I have an Early Childhood Education Associate Teacher certificate from Merritt College as well as a bachelors degree in Gender Studies from Mills College.
“Forrest is totally trustworthy. Would recommend her to everyone!”
