I come from a family of educators, and working with children has always been an important part of my life. I have extensive experience working with children from infancy through elementary school, including experience as a preschool teacher, substitute teacher, private tutor, and childcare provider. My background in education and childcare has given me a strong understanding of child development, positive guidance, classroom routines, and age-appropriate learning and play. I’m CPR certified and a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, with additional training in autism and neurodiversity. Working with children is something I truly enjoy, especially getting to know each child’s personality and interests. Reading, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, board games, and trips to the park are some of my favorite things to do with kids. Activities can always be adjusted based on the child’s interests and the family’s routine. However, my availability is currently limited, and I’m mainly accepting occasional bookings that are a good mutual fit. I can try to accommodate if noticed in advance. ***Note: I am only looking for occasional jobs*** PET CARE: I currently have 2 puppies and a cat at home (11 month old maltipoo, 11 month old domestic shorthair, and 6 month old mini aussie). All three are extremely sociable and friendly towards other animals. We currently live in an apartment, but do our best to make up for the lack of a backyard by taking them to the dog park, on drives, play dates, and giving them enrichment toys! CHILDCARE: I have mostly worked with ages 4-12 prior to COVID-19. However, I have worked with younger ages and am comfortable with them. In all 4 years of my high school career, I taught children from 2nd grade to 11th grade, so I am also able to help with any homework necessary! With that being said, I have experience in breaking the ice with children slowly to gain their trust, as well as yours as a parent. I worked in an Early Childhood Education apprenticeship in Boston, where I was placed at Ellis Early Learning for 8 months and I aced Child Growth and Development at Urban College of Boston.
