Hello, my life has always revolved around children. I worked with my local school district for over 20 years as a Chid Aide. The program was designed to improve a child's self-esteem and improve comfortability in a social setting. This was done through interactive play sessions where a child can truly be themselves. Apart from raising my own three children, I have also worked at a daycare providing a safe and educational environment for up to 12 children. Nutritional cooking is also a big part of my life and something I enjoy sharing. My passion is caring for children in fun, educational, musical, and artistic ways.
“Great experience with Alexandra. Very attentive and kind. Would book again. ”
I’m a reliable and trustworthy mom from Castro Valley with a wonderful ninth-grader. I previously taught at a public school here in Castro Valley, and I hold an active California teaching credential for multiple subjects and special education. I love caring for children, tutoring, and would be happy to support a parent who is homeschooling. I have a clean California driver’s license, full insurance coverage, and I’m certified to drive for field trips at my son’s school.
Hi, I am a 20 year old part time college student from the east bay. I am trained in conflic resolution and outdoor education, I am a lifeguard with CPR certification. I took ASL for 4 years in high-school, and am proficient and able to communicate clearly in ASL. I have worked in many different forms of child care. I have taught and directed circus summer camps as well and classes for 3 years, working with students ages 6 to 15. I taught and demonstrated different circus forms, helping each student succeed. I volunteered as a youth cabin leader for a non-profit organization for 6 weeks over the last 3 years, working with ages 8 to 12. I lived in the cabins with 7-9 students, attending to their needs and supporting them in their social-emotional development. Last spring I was hired as a Facilitation Fellow, I was then in charge of a youth leader as well as a cabin of 7-9 students during the morning and evenings. During the day I taught the curriculum, including conflic resolution, assertiveness and the importance of diversity to 15-16 upper elementary students at a time.
“Rosemary was wonderful with our young kids. They keep talking about her. ”
Hi parents! My name is Ligia. If you’re looking for a reliable, responsible, respectful, and energetic babysitter, I’d be happy to help. I have over five years of experience caring for children of different ages. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your child. I focus on clear communication, following family guidelines, and making sure both parents and kids feel comfortable. I’m more than happy to do an interview before the job or answer any questions you may have. I enjoy doing different activities with kids such as playing, reading, crafts, and staying active.
“Ligia was on time, and my son had lots of fun.”
Hi families! My name is Yamilet, and I’m a childcare provider and art instructor with five years of hands-on experience working with kids of all ages. I’m a 20-year-old college student at Cal State East Bay studying Communication, and caring for children has been a huge part of my life for the past several years. I’ve spent four summers as the Lead Art Camp Instructor at St. Paul’s Episcopal School, where I planned and executed activities, supported ages 4–11, lead off-campus trips, and guided counselors-in-training ages 12–14. I learned how to keep groups engaged, safe, and supported while helping every child feel confident. Year-round, I work as the Head Nursery Childcare Provider at Indelible Grace Church, caring for infants and toddlers ages 0–3. I’m responsible for setup, cleanup, feeding, diaper changes, running the nursery, and directing volunteers. I’m CPR and first aid certified, and I’m very comfortable managing busy rooms with calmness, patience, and clear communication. If families are interested, I also offer optional weekly art lessons as an add-on. I teach drawing, watercolor, colored pencil, clay, and other fun creative projects—completely up to the family if they’d like to include this. Kids love having a creative outlet and a chance to explore different materials. I also run a small business called Yami’s Face Paint, where I do face painting, henna for events. You can see my work on Instagram at @yamisfacepaint. Outside of childcare, I’m a Division II cross country and track athlete, which means I’m dependable, energetic, and always on time. I’m fluent in English and Spanish and do my best to create a warm and safe environment where kids feel comfortable and cared for. I would love the chance to support your family. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
