I came to the United States from Ukraine two and a half years ago to help my brother care for his children. At that time, the older girl was five years old and the younger had just been born. I cared for them full-time until recently, when the younger one began kindergarten. Through this experience, I discovered how much I enjoy working with children and how rewarding caregiving can be. My professional background is in healthcare — I am trained as a nurse — which has given me a strong foundation in responsibility, patience, and attentiveness to others’ needs. In addition, I have completed CPR and First Aid training here in the U.S., so families can feel confident that their children are in safe hands. Now that my niece is in school, I am looking for a new opportunity where I can bring my skills, experience, and genuine love of caregiving to support other families. Hi! my name is Nhi. Currently I have been volunteering as a bible teacher and occasionally help the community with organized events. I’m looking for a part time job at the times I’m available. I want to make good use of my time to help people who need that help and care. I have been working for Care at Home Inc. in the past to help kids with special needs and often also offer to babysit their siblings. Families trust me and find me to be a responsible, reliable, and a friendly person. I followed what parents would prefer me to do and that included walking, aiding, teaching simple lessons, role playing, etc. Before that experience, I also took a class in high school to work with the teachers and took care of kids at the daycare there. But one of the easiest experience I had with kids was when I took care of my youngest sister in order for my parents to work long hours. I felt like I have learn my fair share of what to do and what not to do when taking care of a kid. Even though it can get tough sometimes, it is also very rewarding to see them happy, safe and heard. I love seeing kids being taken care of physically and emotionally so they can grow properly. That means to have proper time to nap, eat, rest, study and play. Because the early years are so important for children to grow and start forming memories I would personally want someone who could see the importance of such when I have a kid in the future.
