Hello Urbansitter parents! I’ve been babysitting children, pet sitting & house sitting for 35+ years, but the last 9yrs here on Urbansitter. I just retired early from my full time job at Kaiser Permanente where I worked for the past 25 years. Prior to that, I worked as a medical assistant for a private Pediatrics office in San Mateo for 5 years. I love kids of any age, enjoy playing games, reading, going to the park, arts & crafts, cooking/baking, doing puzzles or watching a movie with them. I have many years experience with newborns/infants, toddlers, grade school kids & watching multiple kids together. I also drive some of the neighborhood kids where I live, to and from school and their afterschool activities. I have car seats available for toddlers & grade school kids. I have 1 rescue pup, love the outdoors & I have a passion for rescue animals, so I am more than willing to help out with your pets, big or small! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I try to keep my calendar as updated as possible, but you can always message me to check on the availability you need. I am COVID vaccinated & can supply proof of vaccinations. I am also First Aid, CPR & AED certified as well as fingerprinted & background checked. I look forward to meeting you & your family!
I have experience caring for kids of all ages, from toddlers to teens. I’m responsible, patient, and organized, and I love supporting each child’s unique personality and development. I’m comfortable with school pickups, homework, meals, sports, playdates, bedtime routines, and I’m great at keeping kids engaged in fun and meaningful activities. I also love pets and can help with light household tasks. Families describe me as reliable, warm, and proactive, and I always aim to create a positive and safe environment for everyone.
Kind, nurturing, dependable mom 😊 here. New born to teenagers, I've been there and cared for them all. Experienced with ASD, ADHD, and deaf children. Multiple children, twins and care at events. Skilled at organization, household management, travel planning and project management. CPR, First Aid, Fire, Safety, Earthquake Response Trained / Cert. Non-smoker. TDAP, MMR, Flu up to date; as well as all other current vaccines. I enjoy teaching my autistic grandson, hanging out with my deaf daughter, or working on an engineering project. 🤗 I can sew on buttons and make minor repairs in clothes. I am fantastic at fabric paint, arts and crafts, etc. I like organizing, cleaning and cooking. Used to live on a farm growing up, there is no pet in your home that would intimidate me. * Special note: I am a living kidney donor to my friends son in 2013. I prefer not look after children who are very ill. If your child is running a fever, vomiting, or has just begun a raspy cough I would expect you pass me by; I will not show up to your home in this manner as well. Thank you for honoring my request. "If you want to touch the past, touch a rock. If you want to touch the present, touch a flower. If you want to touch the future, touch a life."
Hi Families! ❤️ I’m a loving nanny and childhood education teacher with 10+ years of experience caring for children from newborns to school-age (including twins). I’m excited to help families by providing care for date nights, occasional babysitting, or extra support whenever you need it. I’m from Colombia and truly enjoy spending time with kids. I’m passionate, patient, and hold a childhood education degree. I have extensive experience in childhood behavior and development, which allows me to provide professional and nurturing care. I’ve cared for children of various ages and family dynamics, including twins, toddlers, and babies. I also taught Spanish in a Spanish immersion program, which I really enjoyed. Most recently, I cared for a 4-year-old girl and her 1-year-old sister for about two and a half years. I’m reliable, flexible, and happy to help, whether you need a date-night sitter, extra hands, or some occasional childcare. I have great references who’d love to talk to you. If you want to know more, I’d be more than happy to share details.
Hi, my name is Vanessa. I am a full-time middle school teacher and I have baby-sat and nannied part-time over the last 20 years. I am CPR certified and registered with Trustline. I have worked in child care centers and preschools while employed with Child Care Careers. I was repeatedly asked to substitute at PalCare in Burlingame because I know how to care for and work with infants and toddlers. For a few months, I taught a Spanish class to Pre-K students for the Casita de Los Ninos program located at Village Park Preschool, Burlingame. From 2012 to 2013 I tutored 3rd and 4th grade students in reading with the program Reading Partners at Park Elementary School in San Mateo. In 2010 I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies and Spanish at Sonoma State University. I love working with children so much that I pursued my teaching credential at San Francisco State University and am currently teaching at Burlingame Intermediate School. I feel that children need to be engaged with art, language, math, science, and play! I'm a big fan of imaginative play, story time, drawing, play dough, and board games. If you're looking for a sitter who will do a lot more than put on a movie for your children, you've come to the right profile! :)
