I am a part-time college student hoping to become a teacher in the future, I love working with kids of all ages and prefer a screen-time free/limited approach to childhood growth and free time. I can drive, cook, clean, and teach! I also have pet experience with birds, cats, bunnies, and dogs and love and care for any other pet when given opportunities.

Hi parents, my name is Melissa. I am 30 and currently in school completing science classes and now applying to nursing programs. Because of this career path I’m choosing, I have sought after my CPR certification and an EMT certification. I’m certified by American Heart Association and certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, as well as the state of CA. I completed my EMT training at Citrus College. I am now working full-time as an EMT. I began babysitting when I was 11 years old, taking care of my little brother and any children belonging to family and friends. Not only have I babysat children, but I have coached and tutored them as well. I was previously employed by Jumpstart (AmeriCorps) to help teach preschool children in low income communities. Because of this, I took 2 child development courses and extensive training, which helped me to continue working with children through UrbanSitter since 2015. Side note: In my video, i accidentally said that I have experience with children between 2 and 3, but I have babysat children between the ages of 2 and 14. I sent in another video to correct it, but Urbansitter approved of the wrong video. For multiple family bookings: Rates listed below are for a single family household. If 2 or more families are sharing babysitting services, I ask the each have their own starting pay at the CA hourly minimum wage. Thank you for understanding.

Very friendly and experience in taking 18 months old

I am a very nurturing, caring, experienced and reliable mom of two college age boys. I have always been passionate about children and especially love working with infants to age 4. I started babysitting when I was 15 years old and after college I was a full time nanny for a special needs infant. I was also a respite care worker (part time) and administered medication and assisted a quadriplegic woman with her exercises and daily routines. I was a preschool teacher for 11 years and also worked as a behavior therapist, for over a year, for children diagnosed with autism. As a preschool teacher I worked with all ages, but for 7 years I taught the 3-4 year old class at Bnai Simcha Preschool In Pasadena. I especially love children’s literature and always had a very creative and engaging classroom! I have a BA in Sociology and have taken 19 units in early childhood education. I recently renewed my CPR and First Aid certifiication. I took the last year and a half off of work because my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and hashimotos,, and I also wanted to be more available for my mom who is in the late middle stage of dementia. I look forward to working part time with 1-3 children and finding a family who is “a great fit.”

Hi families! I bring a strong mix of education, experience, and heart to caregiving. I spent three years as a teacher's aide working with infants through pre-school aged children, and I'm also a proud aunt who helps babysit my three nephews and niece. For the past 4 years, I've worked as a wellness educator supporting children, teens, and older adults so caregiving across the lifespan is second nature to me. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's in Mental Health and Wellness with a focus on family dynamics, and I'm a certified personal trainer. I'm also CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring safety is always a top priority. Families describe me as attentive, caring, and trustworthy, while kids love my calm, patient energy and enjoy story time, arts and crafts, and fun learning activities. Since I work full-time during the week, I'm currently available for occasional date nights, some weekday evenings, and weekends. I'm responsible, highly educated, and truly enjoy helping children feel safe, engaged, and cared for while parents are away.

Hi! I have been babysitting since I was 10 years old as I am the oldest of 5 children. I currently work at Stanford Children’s Hospital as a Patient Companion and my duties were similar to babysitting duties and much more. I have worked at Stanford Children’s Hospital for nearly 4 years and previous to that I worked in senior homes as a CNA. I also have my CPR/BLS certification in pediatrics and adults. I have also volunteered to provide companionship to seniors in hospice care! My experience at Stanford has taught me so much about children such as how to promote developmental skills, newborn care, or even keep kids entertained while maintaining a safe environment. I have a bachelors in public health and a minor in women’s health issues and I am currently pursuing nursing school! I am relocating from the Bay Area which is why I have to resign from my job at Stanford Children’s, but I look forward to sitting for you!!
