Taking care of children is not as easy as many people think, but it’s something that has always come naturally to me. I’m the second oldest of seven siblings, so growing up I often took on the role of a second mom—making sure everyone was safe, supported, and taken care of. That experience helped me develop patience, responsibility, and a deep understanding of children. Another fun fact about me is that I work in the dental health field, mainly with kids. I work in a pediatric dental and orthodontic office, so you might occasionally hear me talk about dental health—please excuse me if I do! While I may not have formal childcare certifications, I have years of real-life experience caring for children and building meaningful connections with them. I enjoy engaging with kids through books, movies, games, and everyday activities. I truly believe that when you’re around children, you have to be a kid at heart. That’s how they feel comfortable opening up, being themselves, and sharing their little adventures with you. Many people have told me that I’m a “child whisperer” because of how naturally I connect with kids. I love their curiosity and I’m always happy to answer the thousand questions they tend to have.
