Hi there, I'm Rachel from Australia. I've worked with children for 15 years whilst travelling the world and absolutely love it! My experience includes: - Summer Camp Counsellor at Mountain Camp in California where I lived with, and was responsible for a cabin of 10 girls. I led outdoor activities including yoga, dance and drama, ropes course, lake activities and biking and hiking for children between 5 - 13 years old. - Teaching Assistant in the UK at a private school (Gad's Hill) working with children aged 3 - 16. This included assisting with daycare, english, math, art classes, taking swimming lessons and after school care. - Casual nannying jobs looking after infants - 15 year olds. - Ski instructing in Canada for 5 - 17 year olds. I have my level 2 CSIA ski instructor certification so can provide ski lessons and on-mountain care, depending on your child's ability level. I'm a big kid at heart and relate very easily with children, I'm also organised and believe that some structure can be really important. I raised two wonderful humans to adulthood, and have been teaching high school English for 15 years while earning numerous awards and commendations. I also come trained as a first responder through 15 years of experience with Search and Rescue which includes certification as EMR (including First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants through adults) as well as numerous awards and commendations. I volunteered for 10 years in the youth program at my church (Calvary Chapel, Reno/Sparks), worked as the lead teacher of the school-age summer program at Little Knights and Maidens, led the youth program at my local library for many years, and led my own children through myriad sports and activities (soccer, dance, 4H, Scouts, etc). As my own children are recently off to college, I find myself with more time on my hands, and I would love to serve my community while making some extra tuition money for my own kids. I love kids! I really enjoy spending time with kids, taking care of them, attending to their needs, having fun with them mainly, as kids can really teach us so much about ourselves. I have a mechanical engineering degree from CU Boulder, and am currently a kid's ski instructor at Alpine Meadows. I also am CPR certified, have my EMT license, 200 hour yoga teaching certification, and was an ocean lifeguard for five years. I am used to being responsible for other people, adults or kids or dogs, and will make sure your kids have fun.

Hi there! I am currently looking for part-time babysitting work. I have a patchwork of experience, working with children from infancy to high-school aged. Most of that comes from working in childcare centers with children 0-4 years old and in after school programs. I have a degree in botany, and I love love love using outdoor spaces to let children explore and develop. While I have a variety of childhood development and psychology courses in my background, I am also continuing my early childhood development education so that I can plan activities to do with children that best fits their age and needs.
