Brooke Aptos
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Brooke, and I’ve been caring for kids for as long as I can remember. I’ve helped raise little ones from newborns all the way up to double-digit ages, so I’m very comfortable with every stage. I’m also a college graduate with a degree in psychology and have used that knowledge to become a Registered Behavioral Technician and work professionally with kids with autism, which taught me a lot about patience, creativity, and supporting kids’ unique needs. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, outgoing, fun, and super active. I love keeping kids engaged, playing games, and helping them learn and grow in a safe and happy environment!

Hello Parents:) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. I have tons of experience! 27+ years. I’ve worked in pediatric clinic, licensed daycare, teacher’s assistant, kids dance instructor. I’m a student in the health field, radiology is my goal. I am the 2nd to oldest out of 5 siblings. I started to babysit at a very young age. I flourished when I started to work with kids and it’s showed me to be patient, mature, energetic, engaging and to be tolerant. I’ve been described as very responsible, patient, quick on my feet!, dependable, welcoming & kind. I honestly enjoy and value working with children. Im also a proud community outreach lead in my outreach page on FB which brings community info to kids and their parents. I also help teach dance to help kiddos keep busy and out of the streets. I help guide them in other afterschool programs, activities like art, reading, instruments, paint, language. I give them info to further their education and I even chat with parents if they need any guidance. No child is “too challenging”. Most are just misunderstood and just need a chance to be themselves. I worked for my local Health Department Clinics and Hospital for 22+ yrs. 27+yrs in child care, 10+yrs in a class room setting. Early Childhood Development credits! Fully vaccinated, CPR & First Aid trained👍🏻. I feel very comfortable responding to any medical emergency, medication administration, any disability, any level of health conditions, including behavioral. I have been a Travel Nanny and loved every minute of it. The one-on-one attention gave me a different perspective on how to support parents. I am a firm believer in Montessori Method. I like to be hands on, nature is my buddy, active, arts & crafts, music!, books, baking, help with homework/projects, biking/walking, any educational play is fun. Anything that helps inspire curiosity to discover & learn. I don’t shy away from bathing, forts, feedings, cleaning, mud puddles:), bed time stories, movies and of course a great Snuggle when needed. Parenting styles may diff. so I respect every parents wishes & rules. Parents are trusting me with their most valuable treasure so I strive to be my best. I’ve always enjoyed working with children because they are kind, fun and so intelligent. It takes a special person with special gifts to work with children. I’m one in a few to be blessed & thankful for my gifts. I appreciate your time & consideration. If you have any questions, feel free to message me:)

She was responsive, immediately dove in with the kids, was friendly and kept us updated. Would totally hire her again!

Dear Parents, I am a Mom of two and a Career Nanny and I absolutely love it! ♥️ I started babysitting at 15 years young and later went on to run a daycare with 14 children that ranged from newborn to 13 years old. I was taught the ins-and-outs of childcare by “Mama Dolores”, a loving, well rounded professional that is also a Child Psychologist. It was quite the challenge and a wonderful learning experience! We are still close friends to this day. I strive to be patient, polite, and respectful and hate that good manners are not always commonplace anymore. I am naturally observant, empathetic and communicative. I really enjoy playing with little ones and listening to them use their imaginations during play, and of course, babies melt my heart. I’m quite adaptable and will follow any instructions given especially regarding food allergies and medical conditions. Verbal guidance is my method of discipline, and if necessary then a time out, which I find is rarely needed. I love going to the park, library, children’s museum, aquarium, beach, and doing arts and crafts. (Am also an artist 🎨 and jewelry maker.) Along with childcare I’ve also owned my own ✨Housecleaning Company for 22+ years so tidying up and teaching children to contribute with age appropriate tasks comes naturally. I’ve taken a CPR class and have a cleared background check, a valid drivers license, insurance, and a safe, well maintained SUV if needed. I do not smoke or vape, rarely drink in moderation, and do not use illicit drugs or narcotic prescriptions. (Do not cast judgment either.) I also have experience in assisting to care for seniors, whom I have a special fondness for, post-surgery recovery help, Pet Sitting, and House Sitting. Caring for Special Needs children does not intimidate me as long as I know what to expect. I especially enjoy people with Down Syndrome & Autism.(Genuine and clever.) I thrive in a work environment that allows for variety, occasional flexibility, honesty & when possible a creative 🎨outlet. Mellow background🎵 🎶 MUSIC helps to keep me feeling light & focused. I enjoy working with people from ‘all walks of life,’ and being able help overwhelmed Moms & Dads to feel a bit lighter at the end of the day and hopefully they can squeeze in a little time for themselves too.☀️ P.S.- I am NOT self absorbed so I’m uncomfortable talking about myself so much but it’s important to be descriptive since you’re inviting a stranger into your home.

Shannoa was fantastic! Jumped right in and was extremely helpful. Very warm and calming. Communicative as well. Definitely recommend.

Hi, my name is Annel. I have 6+ years of experience in child care. I have helped amazing families with kids between ages 6 months-12 years old. I am currently a nanny full-time during the week. I am looking to occasionally babysit on the weekends. In addition to child care, I can also help with light house work, meal prep, and errands, I hope we can connect soon!

Annel was wonderful! She watched my 8 month old son at the last minute when he was sick with a fever. She fed him his bottles and solids, changed his diapers, did nap time, took him on a walk, read books, played with him, etc. She was gentle and sweet especially since he was very fussy from being sick. Annel was on time, professional and respectful. I would absolutely recommend her!
