Hello! My name is Chieme and I’m a current Nursing student and certified by the American Heart association in infant/child/adult CPR. I have had high school and college experience taking care of children. I’ve babysat both here in America and back in my home-country Nigeria. In highschool most of my community service hours came from volunteering during the summer at a children’s camp, while my college experience comes from babysitting children through various babysitting apps. I also help babysit children of family members. I am the 2nd oldest of 4 children and have helped take care of the younger ones including my sister who has special needs. I also have experience babysitting children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism. I am enthusiastic, active, and adore all children. My availability is very flexible at the moment, since I’m a full-time student. I believe I am engaging and responsible and would love to look after your children. I also have no pet allergies, so pets in the house are totally fine! I’ve gone through Urban Sitter’s background check and I am happy to provide any documents upon request. Thanks for your time and I hope to meet you and your family soon!

Hello! I’ve been providing childcare for a range of ages in the District for over 15 years. I am a social worker, artist, and love to be outside. I am high energy and find hanging out with children and entertaining them to be so much fun! I am very comfortable with animals as well, I love dogs! Currently I have some families I provide dog sitting for in their homes when they go on trips. I volunteer at an animal sanctuary farms and rescue shelters, comfortable with all types of animals. I use this app to connect with families to build good working relationships, and many families I currently work with have worked with me for many years. Unfortunately I cannot offer full time child care, but I am a great option for date nights or weekends.

Hi! I work for DC Public Library and have been working in libraries for over 7 years now and I love it! I'm happy to get back to sitting occasionally to spend time engaging in fun activities like park visits, imaginative play, reading, kid-friendly cooking, and music/art! I don't have kids of my own so getting to spend time and care for others is a joy and privilege that I don't take for granted. I enjoy being a caregiver and sharing the present moment with kids. It feels less like work and more like an escape from my daily routine! My schedule varies as I work every other weekend and one full weekend a month (both Saturday and Sunday). I also have Thursday mornings off if anyone needs help then! I've worked with children aged 1 to 12 and infants (3 months+) locally since 2011. Before DC, I went abroad to au pair for a family with two young children (2 and 4 years old when I arrived). My duties have included: Meal prep/ Feeding (bottles, babyfood etc.) Light housekeeping Drop offs/ Pick ups Caring for sick toddlers and infants Medicine Adminstration Activities and Outings Supervision and chaperoning in various settings (home and away) Tutoring and homework help Help caring for pets (dogs and cats) My longest full-time childcare job was working abroad as an au pair. I stayed with the family for over a year and a half, working afternoons, all day Wednesday (off-school day), and the occasional evening, weekend, or vacation sitting.

Aimee connected with our girls right away. She was on-time, and had great communication throughout. Would definitely recommend!

I love kids and wish I had more time to spend with them. I have extensive babysitting experience which includes substituting at Head Start (pre-K), regularly watching older toddlers (4-5 yrs.), and most recently taking care of a one-year-old. When babysitting I like playtime and educational and fun activities. I often would bake and do arts and crafts with the older toddlers. I try to limit screen time as much as possible. With the one-year-old I would do activities to promote development and make the little guy laugh! I look forward to hearing from you.

Temeka’s attention to details and love for kids makes her a dependable and repeatable hire for busy families! Thank you!
