Hi, I'm Naomi! I recently graduated from Lafayette College and have moved back home for my gap year while I prepare for graduate school. I have 7 years of professional experience working with children and would love the chance to support your family. As the oldest sibling in my family, caring for children has always been a big part of my life. I first discovered my love for childcare while helping care for my two younger sisters, who are my world. Over the years, I've continued babysitting and tutoring children of different ages, from toddlers to elementary schoolers, in both home and school settings. I’m patient, responsible, outgoing, and genuinely enjoy spending time with kids -- whether that’s helping with homework, doing crafts, going to the park, playing games, or simply creating a safe and fun environment for them. I also have a car and am happy to help with transportation, appointments, pick-ups/drop-offs, errands, or activities if needed. I’m also a huge animal lover! I have five dogs myself and have experience pet sitting and cat sitting for friends, so I’d be more than happy to help care for pets as well. I’d love the opportunity to meet your family and see if I’d be a good fit for your needs!
“Naomi is wonderful with our three-year-old son. So engaging, patient, and calm, even through some truly epic toddler tantrums! She has a natural, reassuring demeanor with children and is always ready to jump in to help. Naomi's also dependable and prompt, which we really appreciate. We feel very comfortable having her care for our son and would absolutely recommend her to other families.”
Hi. My name is Arailym and I babysit. I am available every weekday after 4 except for Tuesdays when I am available at 3:15/3:30 and all day on weekends. I am available during the evenings and am currently able to watch any age but am more experienced in infants and toddlers. I have taken courses and am looking at renewing my lifeguarding certification as I am a counselor at a camp during the summer. I am very energetic and love kids, hoping to pursue a career in education when I graduate high school. I am very flexible and am comfortable caring for many kids. The most I have cared for at once was four of five but am sure I can handle more if needed. I am able to adapt and accommodate. I do not have my own car. Looking forward to working with you all! I am 18 and so excited to meet you and your child!
Hi there, I’m Celia. I’m a doctorate student at GWU studying occupational therapy and hoping to one day do pediatric OT. I’m offering child care, senior care, and pet care services at this time. I have been babysitting since I turned 13, have experience in pediatric oncology, and recently was a lead preschool teacher for children ranging from 2-5 years old (within one classroom). I have worked with non verbal children, am CPR certified through the American Heart Association, and love getting creative with kids. I would oftentimes cover the infant room during early and extended care while working at the preschool. I also have around 80 hours of observations with senior care and experience working with the elderly population. I also love dogs and cats, but am allergic to cats and therefore am only accepting dog sitting gigs at this time. I have experience dog sitting 1 dog at a time anywhere from hours to 2 weeks, but would love to gain experience working with more than 1 dog.
Hi, my name is Ebony! I am offering care for both children and pets. I'm a Native Washingtonian with much experience in childcare. Over the course of 19 years on and off, I have provided care for several families via an agency, and independently for a non-profit organization, events, friends, and family (as the cool auntie). I ran an afterschool program at a local high school during my AmeriCorps term, providing my students a safe environment for enrichment and growth. My late father worked as a teacher's aide at a DC middle school and would take me to work with him. Helping his students was a complex job and I was trusted with it! Having the chance to help children with special needs as a teen taught me how quality care could help a child thrive. That experienced sparked my interest in childcare. Children of all ages deserve safety and attentive care. I bring a positive attitude, creativity, kindness, nurturing, and patience to care I give others. My talents include making still-life drawings with oil pastels. Also, I love animals and have enjoyed pet sitting for friends here and there. Though I am allergic to cats, I adore them and will have my own Zyrtec ready to go for those biscuits. I am open to walking and playing with your animals, no matter the size. I spend my days working full time, volunteering, getting lost in a book, and studying.
Hello! I'm delighted to share more about my background and why I am dedicated to providing excellent care for your family. My experience spans various age groups and needs, built on a foundation of professional involvement and personal responsibility. • Toddler Care: I am actively involved in my church’s family ministry, where I regularly watch and engage with toddlers during service. This hands-on, group setting has sharpened my skills in managing routines, addressing immediate needs, and facilitating positive, safe play. • Individual Babysitting: I have also built experience by caring for the children of my friends, which has given me insight into respecting individual family routines and providing customized care in a home environment. I'm comfortable with various age ranges, from infants to school-aged children. • Pets: I am a loving pet owner myself and am comfortable caring for dogs (walking, feeding) ensuring their needs and routines are met.
