Hey, I'm Destiny, 28 years young and armed with 4-5 years of experience in the trenches of daycare centers. My most recent adventure was at the Jewish Community Center summer camp (2026). What makes me a great caregiver, you ask? Well, I'm all ears, and I don't mind lending a hand with light housework and pet care. Looking forward to speaking with you soon.

Destiny was so great with our twin four year olds and had perfect instincts for how to keep them engaged, how to distract them when we were leaving, and how to make them feel safe in a new city with a new caretaker. I would highly recommend her!

Hello there, thank you for taking to time to look into me as a potential caregiver! A little bit about me: I am a nanny/ babysitter splitting my time between New Orleans and the Bay Area. I am certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR. I received my diploma in massage therapy and health education from the National Holistic Institute in 2012. I'm a local musician, and enjoy dancing, skateboarding, and hiking in my free time. I started my childcare career when I was 19 years old in 2011, as an Au pair in Oxford, England. There, I lived with a with a wonderful family and cared for their daughter who was 3 years old. My responsibilities included childcare 30-40 hours a week, organizing and structuring stimulating and engaging activities, chores, errands and light housework. This family became very special to me as I lived with and worked for them. After massage school, I found my way back to caring for children with babysitting and had a client base of 30+ families in California before moving to Nola. I love them all dearly and can't believe how fast they grow! I have experience with newborns all the way to 15 years old. Nannying has given me the chance to make lifelong friendship and family bonds with so many beautiful people all these years; something that I truly treasure. I would love to learn more about you, your family and your unique needs. Looking forward to meeting you!

Amethyst was fantastic with our daughter. We will definitely use her as a sitter again!

Lona New Orleans
$16 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Lona. I'm new to New Orleans but not new to childcare. I babysitted constantly while growing up, for my neighbors, family friends, and two younger sisters. I have my own transportation with a clean driving record; I am Adult and Pediatric (Child and Baby) First Aid/CPR/AED-certified by Red Cross. More about me: I love to cook, visit museums, read, study, and get outside for activities. I have a bachelor's degree in foreign languages and can speak some Spanish and Mandarin. My favorite places to take little ones include the Children's museum, the Audubon Zoo and Aquarium, the park, playground, library, and of course, for walks around the neighborhood. One of my favorite things about spending time with kids is how they help us see everything like it's brand new. My approach with kids is to trust in their intelligence, problem-solve together by asking questions and coming up with "missions" we can embark on together, and be a source of stability, safety and routine for them. I'd love to get to know you more and see if we might be a good fit!

I am an experienced pet sitter and house sitter living in the Seventh Ward of New Orleans. I primarily take care of dogs and cats, but I have also cared for guinea pigs, rabbits, and one very large Vietnamese pot belly pig. I am available for walks if nearby, but I primarily do overnights and stay with the animals in their own home while their people are away for work or vacation. I also take care of looking after the household while you are out of town.

Katie is an absolute gem of a pet sitter! She recently cared for our two Pomeranians, Loki and Watson, and went above and beyond to make sure they were happy, healthy, and loved while we were away. From the moment we met Katie, her warmth and genuine love for animals were immediately clear. She took the time to understand their routines, quirks, and personalities, which put us completely at ease. Loki and Watson can be a bit high-maintenance, but Katie handled them like a pro. She sent us regular updates with photos and videos, and it was so comforting to see how happy and relaxed they were in her care. It’s clear she treated them like her own pets. When we returned, they were calm, content, and even better behaved—Katie’s care and attention made all the difference. If you’re looking for someone who will love and care for your pets as much as you do, Katie is the one. Her reliability, kindness, and professionalism deserve more than five stars! We’ll definitely be booking her again!
