Hello, I’m Kayla! I’m 23 years old and I’ve always loved kids. I took the working with children elective while in high school and completed the 9 hour communication skills core of knowledge training as well as the 90 hour preschool course but I unfortunately no longer have the printed certificate (I am looking to see if my high school might still have a copy). I also majored in Early Childhood Education last year at HCC. I am a very creative and imaginative person and I find that it helps me to connect with children more. I love doing arts and crafts, playing games and making up stories. I’m also a good listener and whenever a child or person in general has something to say, I make sure to give my undivided attention because I believe every voice and opinion matters, no matter how small. I’ve worked at a daycare and I’ve worked in an elementary school as a before and after care aide. I also have experience babysitting for family and friends. That experience is limited though (one family friend and my aunt) but I am hoping to gain more experiences and reviews through this site. I don’t have much experience with seniors and my experience with pets revolve mainly around dogs, though I do know my way around with cats. For household services I do light cleaning. I like a clean area and I believe cleanliness aides in cultivating a peaceful state of mind. I am also CPR and first aid certified.
Hello, hello out there! My name is Sarai (pronounced Sa-rah-eeeee). I’m from Baltimore, MD. Serving the Baltimore-Washington area. Currently at capacity with families.
I am a nurse practitioner (current practice owner) who never had children of my own and have always wanted them. I have medical experience beginning at Children’s Hospital in DC on their behavioural psychiatry unit, my nursing internship was a Cambridge hospital on the pediatric behaviour program. After becoming an NP in 2005, I spent several summers as a camp nurse at the Barrie School in Silver Spring, MD. I have also worked with their 4 year olds for aftercare and substituted in the baby room when needed. My other experience includes being the lead NP at JHH on their Meyer 6 unit for 4 years and some time in the Anesthesia department. Working with children has been my most fulfilling work. My extensive care of children in various situations should make any parent feel confident in choosing me as a caregiver.
“Very professional, punctual, thoughtful, great communication. Will hire again!”
I have worked with children and youth since high school. I had the desire to work with children and youth as an adult however I haven’t had the chance to really balance that with school and work. Now that I am older and have more availability I want to pursue my passion with working with children and youth. I have a degree in family and humanities and I am a veteran. Over the years I’ve always wanted to pursue having a daycare center or a family based childcare. I still have that passion so I am looking to build a trusted and useful community for those who need my services. I am looking to provide support to families who do not work the traditional 9 to 5 working hours. My services is available for those who work non-traditional hours. The evening/overnight shift and those who work various changing work schedules. I received my experience with working with children and youth through internships, community engagements, and helping family and friend when they need a babysitter. I am willing to experience more hands on opportunities with you and your family. I believe that my passion for working with children of all ages will get me the experience I need to run a successful business. Please feel free to contact me. Excited to work with you.
I am currently working as an occupational therapy assistant in home health. I was an elementary teacher, then a reading teacher for level 5 students. I am on my second set of siberian huskies. I am looking for occasional early morning work with pets, children, and seniors. I can walk dogs, provide adl care, light house keeping, and run errands. I am detail oriented, reliable, caring, and will treat your family as if they were my own.
