Im a mom of 3 for 42 years, I was a daycare provider for 25 years and worked in the city school district for 4 years. I also worked in facilities with elderly, since age 16, I always had two jobs at times.i love helping and meeting people , That’s the gift I was blessed with.I had a cat ones and few dogs and birds

Glenda babysat my children for 5 years since they were 3 months old. We admire her patience, reliability, and high standards of hygiene and safety. She is well organized and maintains structured daily routines for the children. She inspired her kids with art and crafts and outdoor play. During the challenging times of the pandemic, she showed a lot of flexibility in accommodating our schedules as well as our kids social emotional needs. We highly recommend Glenda. Being bilingual is a plus.

Hi! I’m Ajani, a Howard University graduate with a B.S. in Psychology and over 10 years of experience caring for children from newborn through early teens. I started babysitting when I was 13 and honestly never stopped. Being around kids has always felt natural to me. I love creating calm, structured spaces where children feel safe, heard, and free to just be kids. From 2022 to 2024, I worked as a classroom observer in infant through Pre-K programs across DC and Virginia. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of child development, behavior patterns, and how routines truly support children emotionally and socially. It strengthened how I approach transitions, bedtime routines, and engaging play. I now work full time in public health as a Quality Improvement Specialist while finishing my MPH, but childcare has always been something I genuinely enjoy and intentionally make time for. My professional background has only strengthened this passion, helping me become even more organized, communicative, and detail oriented. I’m experienced with: • Infants and toddlers • Bedtime routines • Date nights and overnights • Homework support • Structured play • Pet care Families have described me as dependable, calm, punctual, and communicative. I regularly send updates (and photos if requested) so you can truly enjoy your time out or have peace of mind while at work. Please note: My response time rating reflects a temporary account access issue last year. I’m fully active and responsive now. I’m always happy to hop on a quick video chat to see if we’re a good fit!

I absolutely love animals and regularly pet sit for my family and friends, I’m the go to for pet sitting because my commitment to animals knows no bounds. I’m more of a cat person, but absolutely love dogs as well. Smaller animals are more than acceptable, I have experience with hamsters, rats, ferrets, reptiles and amphibians of various backgrounds, invertebrates, and fish. I’m willing to negotiate rates for various tasks and needs, this is mostly just to pass the time as caring for animals is something I love doing. (even the “unpleasantness” of a litter box of tank water change) Ideally I’m able to work as a “drop-in” sitter since I do have a full time job. Willing to drop in 1-6 times a day depending on needs of pet. Flexible in terms of what I’m willing to do depending on the location and pet. Message me for any questions about what services I’m willing to do. I have two special needs cats of my own who have required specialized care that I, have faithfully and successfully committed to for the last 6 years of their lives. (sorry to brag) I promise to do everything I agree to do at the start of the job and clarify any and every question I have to ensure your pet has proper care and safety while under my care. Hesitant to babysit human children as I’m more of a pet guy, but willing to if they’re older children. I understand that some children may have uncommon forms of communication and have experience with nonverbal children. I personally have autism and adhd so I do have some understanding of what that looks and feels like for a child. I’m willing to help with tutoring, I never could afford college, but I was a spectacular student. I’m especially talented in English. My little sister has quite a few learning disabilities so I was regularly responsible for helping her with homework, which she found especially challenging. I follow instructions to the letter and am not above admitting when I am not able to/willing to do something. I will do my very best to honor and respect household rules and values while in the presence of your family.

I am a former preschool/pre k teacher. I have my CDA. Prior to the pandemic I worked a childcare facility for about two years. My two main age groups were 2-3 year olds and 3-4 year olds during the school year. I also have experience with school age children, for the after school program, and spent a summer as a summer time teacher/camp counselor with that same age group. I have some experience with infants as well, because I would sometimes step into the infant room in order to allow the main teacher in the to take their lunch break. I was a tennis coach in HS/ day camp counselor. I have babysat for various families over the years from my teen years until now.
