Hi, Karla here. I m retired from elementary/ special education in the classroom and school bus driving. I enjoy people, I am a lighthearted person to be around. Reasonably fit for a senior. I have current First Aid and CPR. For children, I m a grandmother and enjoy the ages and stages. I am able to help with homework, basic meal preparation. Problem solving and accountability. As a female, infants are something we deal with off snd on throughout life. For seniors, I m a friend and assistant. I have cared for a husband who was down for 4 years. Mostly looking to provide respite care. Or 1-2 half days/ week. Housekeeping and meal preparation as needed. Prefer cats over dogs, due to size and rambunctious nature. I am a Portland State University graduate with a bachelors of arts in Social Science, minor in psychology and Spanish. I have worked as a Girl Scouts summer activities leader for 23 girls grades first-fourth. As an activities leader, I facilitated science, art and life skills/healthy living. I love creating safe spaces for children to express themselves and be creative. I am a very family oriented person. I am the oldest of three and have spent a lot of my time helping my family raise the small ones in our family. I am currently only available Friday afternoons and weekends.
