I Nannied for a year for 2 wonderful children, a one year old and a three year old and for years after babysat for date nights and other occasions that the parents needed. Hi! I'm Simone, and I'm excited to get back to working directly with families after a few years doing operations work in creative settings and at a nonprofit teaching STEM to kids in Portland. (Turns out I missed the hands on part!) I've got over a decade of experience with kids of all ages: nannying long term and watching kids grow from pre K through second grade, four years at the Children's Creativity Museum in San Francisco, volunteering with children's library programming doing summer reading and fairs, substitute teaching at an outdoor preschool, and before that, helping out in a daycare. I love getting to know kids as individuals and figuring out what makes each person tick. I've worked with neurodivergent kids regularly and genuinely enjoy finding the best way to connect. Hello, my name is Jade and I work as a consulting environmental scientist in Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Seattle and have worked as a babysitter in Seattle and The Bay Area. I have been caring for children on and off since I was a teenager, worked as a nanny and lifeguard through college, then later as an environmental educator and volunteer coordinator, and have maintained CPR/First Aid certification.
