Since then, I’ve gained over ten years of experience as a nanny, overnight caregiver, home manager, and preschool teacher. I’ve also worked as a professionally trained doula, further deepening my understanding of child development and family support. I’m also an active person and grew up participating in team sports, including soccer and swim team, which taught me the value of energy, focus, and teamwork—qualities I bring to my caregiving. New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. Hello, I’m Ivory! I am an independent college student, I just graduated 2025 at PSU with a bachelor of fine arts! I have taken 4 years of Spanish and would be happy to share basic Spanish vocabulary! I love drawing, painting, ceramics, and am working 7 years so far as a part time ice cream cake decorator. In my free time I enjoy singing, working out, and playing games with friends! I have experience babysitting my 3 nephews, and working with kids at church. I babysat for a girl 5 y/o girl until she was 7 y/o in the mornings getting ready for school with the occasional pickup from school. .
