Hi there! I am a very experienced caregiver, and I’m excited to meet you and your family! While I’ve lived in Nashville for a little over 10 years, I’m originally from East Cobb in Marietta, Georgia. During my senior year of high school in Georgia, I began long-term babysitting, thus beginning my career as an educator. Caring for children is without a doubt my passion in life, and I’ve been extremely blessed to serve as an educator in various facets over the past several years! I have served as a professional governess (emphasis on teaching and intellectual advancement) and as a nanny for a myriad of families, tutored Spanish and English to children, worked as an after-school program instructor, and co-taught as a preschool instructor for 3s, 4s and 5s. Prior to my current daytime position teaching middle school Spanish and coaching / managing travel of the upper school Speech Team at a local independent school, I served as a professional governess for a local family for 3 years, followed by teaching Spanish and music at a public middle school in Nashville. In addition to childcare, I am also passionate about neuroscience, genetics, multilingualism, music, and international travel! In 2008, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree with a minor in Spanish from Kennesaw State University. Following graduation, I continued taking collegiate coursework in medical sciences, Child Life and Spanish. During the first year of our worldwide COVID pandemic, I completed my Master of Education in Instructional Practice at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Currently, I am not averse to obtaining another advanced degree as well, will likely be medically-affiliated! In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my pup, domestic & international travel, tutoring children, spending time with community, playing ultimate frisbee, running, singing/playing piano, reading, and engaging in thousand-piece puzzles, NYT word games and general brain teasers. I genuinely care about every child I encounter, & I understand that every experience with children is an opportunity to foster young minds & hearts! I have 5 years of dog and cat sitting experience. I love going on walks, playing fetch, and giving lots of pets to the animals. I have taken care of many different dog and cat breeds, and I am able to do overnight sitting. I can do medicines, eye drops, or any other medical needs. I can also do house sitting, including watering plants and light housework.

I have been a household manager for a family for the past 12 years. I worked for the family’s company, but only working from their home taking care of everything from cleaning, taking daily care of the family parrot and dog to running all kinds of errands for their home here and also their lake home in Lynchburg. They recently sold the company which eliminated my full time job. I still work for them but only on as needed basis. I am a 56 year old mother to a 31 year old son who he and his wife gave us the sweetest granddaughter over a year ago. I am also a “Lolly” to my nephew’s new baby, which makes me an adoptive grandparent since his parents are no longer with us. I have a niece who was adopted from Guatemala years ago and she was raised as my second child. Our family is very close and everyone pitches in wherever is needed. I have been married for 35 years and have lived in Franklin since 1983. I adore children and animals, with the exception of snakes. As long as I don’t have to touch or feed them, I can handle it! I would love the opportunity to care for your sweet family whether for childcare or pet care. I decided I was going to retire at my young age, but can only clean my house and meet friends for lunch for so long without it becoming repetitive! I am blessed to be in a position where I can choose what I want to do going forward and my favorite things in the world would be caring for children, loving them as a grandmother would and taking care of animals. My 2 dogs are as much a part of our family as any person could be! I have a reliable SUV and as many references as you need. Hello there! My name is Rebecca but my little buddies know me best as Ms Becca :)! I am 36 years old and have worked professionally with children since I was 19 years old. I absolutely love kids especially the first 5 years of age! I graduated with a degree in Child Development from CSU Sacramento in 2010. I have been a preschool teacher for many years and am currently subbing when needed :)! I have been babysitting since I was 16 and have mostly worked in morning/after school programs, preschools and day cares. I also did an internship in Germany working with small children on an American military base. I am CPR/First aid certified. I take the safety of your child very seriously and will always have that as my main priority. I love clear communication so expect me to give you a heads up if I am running even a couple minutes late. I will also try to give you a heads up in great advance if I need to cancel- I rarely do! Usually only emergencies or sudden illness. I try to take pictures/videos to send to parents while I’m with your child so you know what we’re up to :)! A little about me: I love going to the beach and being outside! I am very family oriented, I love my friends, going to concerts, going on adventures like hiking waterfalls and traveling to all sorts of new places! I love being outside so when I babysit and it’s a nice day- if you are comfortable with it I will take your kiddos on adventures around town to different parks, splash pads, etc! On days when staying inside is a better choice, there are plenty of activities we can think of to do! I’m a huge music fan and love the Beatles the most! When I babysit, I typically like to bring along my instruments for all my little friends to play (ukulele, harmonica, etc). I love to sing songs and do interactive songs like “We are the Dinosaurs” or “slippery fish.” I’m not a huge fan of screens- I don’t even have internet at my house haha! I try to be as engaging as possible- I realize, however, there are those times kiddos just want to watch a movie on a Friday night haha I don’t mind either way! Just know I’m ready to play when I walk in the door :) I love animals so pets don’t bother me at all! I can FaceTime you no problem if you’d like to meet before meeting in person!
