I hold an undergraduate degree in elementary education and originally began my career in teaching, but made a career shift about 5 years ago and transitioned into the corporate world. I currently work full-time, but I’m available for date nights, evenings, and weekends and do my best to be flexible when I can. My background in education gives me a strong foundation in child development, structure, and engagement—whether that’s helping with homework, creating fun activities, or supporting consistent routines. Hi I’m Ezra! Taking care of little ones (whether they have 2 feet or 4 paws) has been a joy of mine since I was a teenager. I always volunteered to watch my teachers kids after school/during the summer and I eventually was asked to do more and get paid for it as well! This included pet and house sitting for extended periods of time/during long vacations. My love for caring comes from I my experience with my 4 nieces and nephews (2 of each) and they range in age from kindergartener to college sophomore. I helped my sister raise/co-parent my youngest niece and nephew while she was going through a tough time and it really opened my eyes and my heart to wanting to continue caring for others in any way possible! I’m an Early Childhood Educator and after school art teacher so I have all my proper licensing through both the state of Texas and Austin ISD and have passed several rounds of background checks; first aid training; and adult, child, and infant BLS + CPR certifications. During the school day my focus is on preparing kiddos (ages 6 weeks-5 years) for elementary school through a play-based curriculum with a focus on social-emotional learning and self-regulation. At my after school job we focus on helping kids be Creative Artists, Critical Thinkers, Confident Leaders and Courageous Allies in the 21st century through various arts curricula so I have a ton of arts and crafts activities in the back of my pocket suitable for ages 1-101! I love being able to bring creativity to children and helping them explore what they are most drawn to while also empowering them to be the leaders of our future. I moved to Austin in 2019 from the Northeast. Prior to my relocation, I was a teacher (two/three year olds) at a Private Preschool in New Jersey for more than 13 years. I am a certified infant/toddler teacher and have also taught English as a Second Language in a public elementary school system. Additionally, I have worked for many years as a reading/writing tutor and a teacher of theatre arts to elementary and middle school students. I have numerous years of experience working with children, ages newborn to late teens. In addition, I have raised three children (two grown, one teenaged). I am well versed in developmental milestones and my specific area of expertise is working with children who have different learning capabilities, notably children on the spectrum and/or with developmental delays. I continue to work in Austin as a preschool teacher and tutor for elementary school children. In addition, I run neurodiversity consulting programs and staff development sessions for local private schools. Because of my career in teaching, I am required to renew my certification in CPR and First Aid every two years and I annually accrue 40 plus hours of developmental/industry standards training. I am fully vaccinated (including all COVID vaccines.) I adore engaging with children, am trustworthy, dependable and timely. I am looking forward to meeting you and your children!

I have a Bachelor’s in Human Development & Family Sciences, which essentially means that I studied lifespan human development and relationships with an additional focus on children and family structures. I also have a Bachelor’s in Nursing and have been babysitting for 5 years. I have experience working with elementary-aged children and toddlers through babysitting, after-school programs for students in Austin, and in-classroom teaching experiences at the University of Texas at Austin Priscilla Pond Flawn Child & Family Laboratory. I have also been a summer camp counselor at Kids Across America and an after-school science teacher for MADScience Austin. I volunteered in various sections of Dell Children's Hospital, previously in the Volunteer Services and Child Life department. I later joined the Children’s Comprehensive Care Clinic. I am BLS and First Aid certified. I have worked as a Community Living Specialist, helping children with serious emotional disturbances learn skills to help them remain independent and in their homes with their parents/caregivers. I have also worked with middle school and high school students at my local church for the past 3 years. I currently work as an RN in a local hospital.
