Hello Families, I moved to Houston almost 2 years ago. Before moving, I graduated from UC Merced (in California) with a degree in Public Health and a minor in Community Research and Service Minor. Previously, I worked part-time teaching swimming to kids 4 days a week. Then on my own, I taught private swim lessons for 2 years. I have been responsible for caring for children ages from 5 months to 12 years. While having lots of fun and laughs, I make sure to keep your child's safety a priority. I began as a daycare teacher caring for infants, toddlers and 2-5 years old. Parents loved that I was able to potty train their children so much so that they named me the potty training queen! I loved caring for the little ones. I also have experience caring for special needs ages 2-19years old. From daycare I moved on to elementary and now I’m currently entrusted to teach and nurture high school young adults both general and special education. During the summer, I either care for past students and/or do day camp work. I am a huge child advocate. I genuinely love teaching, nurturing and caring for young ones. The energy that they have, the willingness to learn and the ability to trust really makes what I do feel less like work.
