Hi, I’m Abbie! I am from Arizona, but currently living in Utah, and have been for 5 years now. I absolutely love it here! I’m getting married in May! I am going back to school fall of 2025 at UVU, majoring in Early Education, to ultimately become a teacher. I love kids, animals, arts and crafts, movies, music, wellness, fashion, shopping, learning, and my family! I am outgoing, kind, reliable, and fun. You can count on me! Right now I am only available Saturdays and Sundays. I have 4+ years experience in babysitting/nannying. Ages ranging from newborn-15 years old, I am also the oldest sibling of 4, so I had a lot of responsibility throughout my years at home. I also have babysat cousins and friends since I was young. I babysat many families in my neighborhood in Arizona. I also was an at-home nanny for 2 families there; one with a young special needs child. I would tend to childcare duties like playing, nap-time, help with homework, some potty training, and more. I also did housekeeping like tidying, cleaning, cooking, and organizing the play areas and other main areas that the parents allowed access to. I did any pet-care too, including dogs, cats, and fish. I made sure to create and maintain a positive, playful, nurturing, and safe environment for all children of all ages, with all abilities and personalities. Preferably minimum to no screen time; mostly hands-on activities for the children. I also stayed over-night and some weekends as needed for the 2 families I nannied, when the parents were gone for work trips, vacation, etc. My way of childcare is to encourage children to learn and grow with confidence building activities, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, parks, libraries, and more. Any discipline needed/done was discussed with the parents, but I have a gentle approach to discipline. For example, if the child is having a tantrum or getting upset with another sibling or situation, I will sit with the child to be at their level instead of above, listen and try to understand how they are feeling, and help get through the moment with love and patience; never any yelling or aggression. Sometimes all a child needs is to be heard. Any disrespect or aggression from the child is met with authoritative discipline and love. I built and maintained a positive relationships with the children and parents through excellent communication, respect and love as human beings, not just because it’s my job!
Hello my name is Olivia! I am attending UVU in the fall and will join their elementary education program in the spring. While in highschool, I have had the opportunity to take our schools daycare class for my junior and senior year. I learned how to care for children ranging in age from 3 months to 6 years old. I eventually was allowed to create lessons for children at the preschool age and watch the children if the head teacher had to step out. I also had the experience to do an internship during my senior year with a second grade class. I was able to understand children more and it was a great experience! I am able to help children with homework and projects if needed. I was part of many extracurricular activities growing up and would love to help children excel in their hobbies. Services that I offer are cooking, dog watching, cleaning, laundry, tutoring, and running errands. My other skills include dog watching and house keeping. At my parent’s home, I grew up with dogs and know how to watch and care for them and their needs. I am also able to run errands including grocery shopping. I love to clean and keep spaces organized!
Born and raised in Colorado. Grew up with two younger brothers. Babysat for family friends and lots of families from church. I have experience with all ages!
I loved babysitting growing up and have always enjoyed spending time with children. Over the past year, I worked at a school for children with autism spectrum disorder, where I developed strong attentiveness, patience, and the ability to respond thoughtfully to each child's individual needs.
“Elizabeth is a great caregiver! She's attentive, smart, and hard working. She's going to medical school and will be a great doc.”
As fourth of eight kids, chaos and childcare have always been second nature. I grew up babysitting all over my neighborhood and never really stopped. These days, working in a K–12 school keeps the kid-wrangling skills sharp, and being the favorite aunt of 12 adds plenty of fun to the mix. Happy to bring energy, patience, and laughter to your crew!
